Where is your confidence level about the season now that fall camp is over and the start if the season is just days away?

1. Nervous

2. Freshmen skill players

3. Our QB get treated like a pinata

1. I'm feeling pretty confident, but still real nervous. It's hard for me to be consistently optimistic and positive about football. 2006-2012 really hurt my soul.

2. Expectations. I love that we finally have high expectations again.

3. Road games. No clue why we're so drastically different on the road, but it has to stop. In my opinion, road game improvement and a CUSA Championship are the steps forward Marshall really needs to establish this season.

1. We should be able to win some games this year.

2. How much talent we have in the backfield.

3. Our HC is horrible and set our program back 10 years with his performance last year(I mean we lost to Tulane at home ). Worried we will see more of the same this year.

Going to be another long year for us by our usual standards. We will be improved, however, and will get 4 to 7 wins this year according to how the injury bug bites.

I'm pulling for you guys and hope you get to a bowl this year. The conference needs a strong USM going forward.

What I always feel when there is a road game with three added comments:

1. Will the pre-season hype have the guys too tight to perform well out of the blocks.

2. The RedHawks have an experienced, high level quarterback just named as the starter. Yes, he played in a back up role at Notre Dame, but he wouldn't have been recruited there if he hadn't had some real skills. How well he adapts to a new coach, new system and new team is an open question.

3. It's been hard to prepare for this game. Not much good film on the Miami situation according to beat writers in West Virginia due to new coach, system, etc. Hard to know what Miami will present.

1. Should be better than last year, but how much better? 4 out of the first 5 games are on the road (including OU and Auburn)... brutal way to start it off.

2. Most excited about having a more experienced QB to help take some burden off Kenneth Dixon.

3. Most worried about skill at WR and OL. Have they improved? Can't get any worse than last year's groups, but would like them to be at least an average CUSA group.

Is it basketball season yet?

For the first time in nearly 10 years pretty damn confident.

I feel pretty good that the Monarchs will exceed most expectations this year with six to seven wins and possibly as many as eight.

I am excited for Heinicke to have the opportunity to show how really good he is against improved competition, and I am excited about a receiving corps that is much deeper than most expect due to the loses there in the off season.

The Monarchs have several areas to be concerned about, including the O-line and the defense in general. I think both will be ok, but we will just have to wait and see.

Excited to see if Coach Partridge can coach. Hes proven he can recruit.

5-6 wins will be acceptable to me with a coaching change
7+ wins will be very good news
4 wins and below will be a dissapointment.

I just have a gut feeling were gonna catch Nebraska flat footed and give them a scare if not outright win. We have to play perfect mistake free ball to do it, but well see.

I think we're going to have best season we've had in our FBS history. Boom there I said it.

2. Most excited about possibly grabbing the first non-contract at-large bowl.

Super stoked - more excited than I have ever been for the football season. I have no expectations. I see anywhere from 4-7 wins. Nothing in between would surprise me.

Most excited to just get out there and enjoy the games.

Most worried about our O-Line, Freshmen skill players, defense overall, and QB durability.

Honestly I want to just get Saturday over with lol

Shifty what are your strengths heading into the season and which areas have depth?

One game at a time.

Relaxed.

More worried about getting tailage and Open Air Suite ready than the game.

It's nice to have the first tame against Savannah State

Most worried for season-- QB Austin Grammer

We're only 1 day out and I took off work tomorrow to be there.

Excited to get started. Have no idea how we will be this year. Could win 2, could win 10. I'll be at every home game and a few roadies supporting our team.
