The Secret Service said it is "aware" of a photo that appeared to show an image of an ISIS flag in front of the White House.

If authentic, the photo showed a hand holding up an image of a flag for ISIS (also known as ISIL or Islamic State), displayed on a smartphone, on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House fence. That area, closed off to street traffic, is frequented by thousands of tourists every day.

It was tweeted from an apparently pro-ISIS Twitter handle @sunna_rev on Aug. 9.

That photo does look a bit Photoshopped to me, but in any case it's scary that their goals are obviously to attack the US.

ISIS needs to be dealt with. I'm pretty sure (or hopeful) the government's more covert agencies are trying to tackle them.

It COULD easily be a joke that's being played, but it's DEFINITELY not out of the question to think that ISIS could very well be on American soil right now.

Anyone who thinks it's impossible is living in a bubble that's under a rock that was hurled at Ferguson police by an angry protester that still believes a white cop would shoot a black suspect just for shitts and giggles.

Well I thought it was a picture of an ISIS flag on a cell phone that was taken by another cell phone... But the threat is definitely still very possible.

Lol, yes, I see that -- but it looks like a difference in quality to me (I am no expert in photoshopping, though). I hope / think that they will take it seriously and examine camera evidence to see if anyone really did take this right there.

With all their fancy gadgets and gizmos nowadays it's not hard for the tech whizzes in the gov't to pinpoint where you took a photo, especially of a landmark like the W.H... all it would take (I'd think) is triangulating the position via a computer program then watching that spot with CCTV cameras to see if anyone took a photo there.

It is a major threat and one people need to realize isn't just something that's going to go away if we ignore it.

Any fool can pull up a picture of the ISIS flag on their phone and take a picture in front of the fence by the White House.

Nothing was "hung" anywhere.

As a child in the 80's and a teen in the 90's, pulling off pranks was always fun and harmless, even pulling fire alarms at school on a dare... But these days, nothing is taken lightly and what may seem fun and harmless could land yo ass in some big time prison time... Too bad too...

I bet this is some DA white college age kid who's parents allowed him to find his own center of spirituality and encouraged him to find his own path through the various religious movements. Oh, and I bet he got a participation trophy that one year he played team sports and the other kids picked on him for being a weirdo.
