C-USA ESPNU Logos
Saw this posted on the AAC board:

http://lightlybuzzed.com/2014/07/20/grad...nu-logo/6/

Apparently they couldn't find all the C-USA ones, but I guess its the thought that counts. Props to Lightly Buzzed for that. If you don't like links:

It's weird that they'd bump us up to FBS independent a year early, but forget to make us an ESPNU logo like everyone else. Even Richmond got one.

Never understood why they gave our buffalo a nose ring.

Because its the standard template. Buffalo has the same logo, except its blue.

If they were going to cut a paste, they should have used the Colorado one instead.

It's probably cause we haven't been in an ESPN sponsored conference since they started doing that. Richmond has one cause it's in the A10. Even Norfolk State and Hampton on one cause the MEAC has a deal with ESPN.

Yep I have been waiting for years to see WKU and BIG REd for one of these logos but I guess its never going to happen...Weird considering our Top 5 Journalism department nationally has several alumni who now work for ESPN...

That's why I'm glad we have Blaze as our mascot, so they can't just cut n' paste from another school. Look at La Tech. I swear its the Miss state template just with a different color scheme. I like Richmond's spider and UTEP's as well.

They did these a couple years back. Every FBS program back then but the Sun Belt schools. Yes, even the MAC and WAC all got logos made.

Kind of ironic considering the Sun Belt has several games on ESPNU every season on Thursday nights....they treat the conference as an afterthought and a preview/infomercial of the "big time" upcoming weekend games...

FAU would be exactly the same as the Rice logo. They just copy and paste.

If that's the case and ours would just be a green version of Southern Miss' logo, then I'm good not having one. It does look like a rooster.

Yeah. Looking at the ESPNU Owl logos of Temple and Rice, colors and eyebrow style seems to be the only thing different amongst them. I would hope for a palm tree or a beach or something or the sort next to it, but that would require me to expect ESPN to know that FAU is in Boca Raton, and not Ft. Lauderdale, or even exists at all.

I remember when MT played FAU on a Thursday and won on a last second touchdown a few years back... Good memories, but it was one of the first games they allowed viewer tweets on screen via a ticker and all the viewers did was make fun of the SBC and the commentators only talked about the upcoming weekend games.

MT beats FAU with Hail Mary

If I recall correctly, the logo for VCU included a used condom, a syringe, and a fly-encrusted turd.

Sometimes they can be really accurate.

RE: C-USA ESPNU Logos
The day back in 2012 when Taylor Heinicke broke the passing record against New Hampshire, he received a sticker for his helmet on ESPN. We were the only team that did not have our teams helmet there. They used a silver generic helmet. I hope if this happens again, they have an ODU helmet since we are now FBS.
