Yep Daktronics says the Cajun board will be 1720 sq ft of video and AState's will be 1725.
A fan in the stands will not be able to tell the difference and if one is further from the field than the other, the one further away will be perceived as smaller.

We needed the extra 5 sq ft for the black line.

Or maybe we're just putting it out there to lull opponents into a false sense of scoreboard complacency. ;-)

Yeah, Cajuns and Red Wolves Fans still get along too well to have petty scoreboard arguments.
If this was Cajuns/ULM or GS/GSU this would be at least a 10 page thread by now.

Maybe we can have shared custody of the extra pixel.

Competition is a good thing. Glad to be in a conference where everyone is looking up and onward instead of what used to be.

LOL!!! Daktronics clearly has an inside at the Sun Belt office in New Orleans. These guys are making serious cash off of Sun Belt programs.

Company that built our last one went out of business (can't imagine why with the cool black line feature they offered).
What I like about Daktronics is they are now offering an all-in-one media creation system. High definition cameras, mixing board, ready for live streaming output that can layer in your audio which can be a dedicated announcing crew or your radio crew, the timeout signal when entered on the scoreboard control will send a code to trigger the insertion of ads on the live streaming feed.
Makes it far easier to produce a quality video feed for your school website, you can even uplink to a TV station via satellite or high bandwidth internet. Sporting KC in MLS feeds their games via internet to their TV affiliates in Missouri and Kansas.

It's a nice looking board, but why not widescreen? I think I've gotten so used to the horizontally-skewed monitors and screens and whatnot that seeing a good old-fashioned square-ish one is jarring.

Yes, when they installed out Baseball Score Board I looked at their on-line products and information. I hear they are working with several other Sun Belt programs as well. That's why I made the comment, clearly someone has pushed their product.
