If Troy is 7-5 or better, Troy will be in at least one of the three Alabama bowls. The luxury of having three instate bowls, and a great history with The New Orleans Bowl should Louisiana get a higher bid.

Rest assured Trojans, if we are 7-5 or better, we are bowling. Period. Mark it down.

I agree. But last year if we had the camellia bowl we would more than likely been bowling at 6-6.

I think even if we are 6-6 we will still be in that camellia bowl. That's a guaranteed sell out in the bowls first year if Troy is in it.

I wouldn't guarantee it at 6-6. Last year you would have been in because we had 5 programs at 6-6 and two at 7 and 8 wins respectively. If there are several 7 win + teams next year, 6-6 probably wont help.

I won't complain if we go to the camellia bowl this year, but I don't want it to become our go to bowl every year like New Orleans with ULL. It will be fun tho since it is practically a home bowl for us. Other than that I don't really care for it. I like to travel to new places.

You can always see different cities but having a close bowl is a huge
plus for fans.

RE: ESPNs early bowl projections
I said it last year but EVERY Sun Belt team who finishes 7-5 or better should be in a bowl. Yes WKU got screwed last year, but hopefully with more bowl tie-ins the days of a 7-5 Sun Belt team being left at home are over.

Oh I travel... But it's fun to travel to other cities for bowl games and Troy fans. I like that experience. Montgomery isn't anything new to us. Troy is practically a suburb of Montgomery.

I know what you mean. I think we go bowling this year however. I bet we end up in either the Armed forces or Heart of Dallas bowl. Had we beaten Troy and Fresno State not lost to San Jose State we would've end upin the Armed Forces bowl last year.

So we have 3 guaranteed bowls next year right--- Camelia, New Orleans and GoDaddy, right? With App and us not bowl eligible and Idaho out because of APR, that leaves 8 teams for 3 guaranteed spots. Hopefully we can get a 4th team in some bowl also.

I believe there's a lot more bowl slots this year too. From 73 to 79 I think. We'll get some at large.

I'm getting tired of the NOLA Bowl. I hope we get an offer from a higher tier bowl.

You gotta go 12-0 if you want that to happen.

You won't end up at the HOD for sure and chances for Armed Forces are very slim. Backup bowl arrangements, etc.

Only thing with Backup agreements is you have to have enough bowl eligible teams to cover those backups.
