True KY fans were too busy lubing our former coach so they could administer a collective fellating.

I hate to ask, but do you know how fellating works? Why would he have to be lubed beforehand?

Even I would be afraid to respond to this post. There's too much room for misinterpretation.

So Keelon gets hired at a school other than Memphis

You think Josh can out recruit the kids father?

Really?

Are these the top three kids in the country or the only kids that can play basketball?

no but if you can get all three with one move, why wouldn't you?

Are they guaranteed? I know what Dad says. Keelon seems like a straight shooter. But, young men sometimes want their space and to make their own decisions. Olivia wanted Peyton to be a Rebel. I don't think Keelon can legally contract for his sons to come to Memphis even when his absolutely pure intentions.

Then is it worth the risk? That is the point. It is not a no brainer decision. It also sends the message that you cannot recruit as the message that you cannot recruit.

Here's a question. Suppose in two years Coach Lawson gets a new job offer after having been hired by Memphis. Let's say, Florida Atlantic wants to hire him to be the head coach and bring his two, younger sons with him. Now he has a head coaching offer; how bad do you want to keep Josh? How much leverage does KJ get? Don't you wish you had this kind of clout to negotiate with? I do.

The funny thing in all of this is some of the same posters who wanted Pastner to hire Sharman White to potentially get Tony Parker a few years back, are now against hiring Lawson. Lol..

Quote:Down here it has been made clear that next year is the last chance for what they call the Sun shine pumpers to make excuse for Pastner.

The reality is next year will be thin for Pastner so nailing down the Lawsons may buy Pastner more time.

Cal has made it clear from day one at UK things he had to do at UM and Umass to get talent just aren't necessary at UK.

Look for Pastner to get canned at UM after another under achieving year at UM.

I believe Pastner if smart will make a run at the IU job. Pastner can recruit, but his biggest problem was the kids he recruited out of Memphis just did not take him serious and did not listen to him as a coach.

Now when they did Pastner had a dangerous talented team. But most of the time they would just block him out and try to win the game on their own.

Pastner with a Mid Western type young man that IU attracts would become A much better coach. Recruiting is not the issue its the type of young man he was forced to recruit. Nothing against the talented young man from the inner city of Memphis, not his fault that A coach who suspended a player for using bad words and was looked at as more of A Opie Taylor then A John Wooden just was not the coaching style these young men grew up producing under.

Just my opinion but I do believe Pastner and IU would be a perfect match.

RE: Josh- You know what you have to do.
Thanks Bill....I am mad as heck by them kinda people coming over here to talk trash....I am behind Keelon Being hired...I want him as the 3rd Assistant now....I want the Lawson Boys to come here, knowing one thing, and one thing only we want a Title and Put in the hard work and goes as hard as they can...I will be watching plenty of Josh Jackson this year as well....But I also want Josh to Hire a dynamic Lead Assistant if AKI leaves, and a X and O's guy, or A guy who can bring in JJ...And Lets Get Alan Stein Hired as S&C, if all possible.....Even Though I know UK is landing Jayson Tatum, Harry Giles, M J cage, Kobi Simmons but just because they are loaded on paper mean I would be afraid to play them....Not every pans out, See Harrison twins, See Xavier Henry.....That guy has no sticking clue....Oh and Keith Ronnie Fields has started his own AAU squad in the Illinois Admirals....How cool is that, I will be up that way checking them out and then over to Detroit to watch JJ ball....Some good things happening up that way....The World Is Ours Memphis....

If AKi leaves for Florida A&M, after we hire Keelon, then we should go after and Hire Randy Livinston to be lead Assistant, if in fact we lose Collins....Randy Has been a D-League coach and did very well, He is now a Nike Basketball Camp Skills coach and Teacher, Been in the NBa, CBA, D-League, Head Coached in the D-League, Lives in New Orleans still, Works with Nike, and would be Interested....The World Is Ours Memphis...
