One game that comes to mind is Temple-UConn in 2007. UConn refs gave UConn the game by saying a TU receiver was out-of-bounds on the game winning TD. This funny video called Husky Pokey came out of it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e29JIwN4xko

In 2009 Temple won a very exciting game against Navy with a long breakaway run by Bernard Pierce (current HB of the Baltimore Ravens). Navy upset the Irish the following week in South Bend. That was the only time Al Golden beat a team with a winning record at Temple.

UConn - Notre Dame in 2009 in our one and only meeting. The refs took away back to back touchdowns from UConn that would have won the game on phantom holding calls, forcing us to go and win in OT. It was the best UConn football game I've ever watched though. Truly epic. The blowout loss we dealt South Carolina in the post season that year was great as well. I remember how much trash everyone down in SEC country was talking before the game and UConn came out and just manhandled them on both sides of the ball.

I was at Temple at the time and watched it with a student who had transferred from Temple to UConn. We both took great pleasure in ND's agony. Good times.

Our oldest history goes back to Temple.

First game against any AAC member school: November 20th, 1982

ECU defeats Temple by a score of 23-10

The Rose Bowl is supposedly the "Grand daddy of them all", but actually Cincinnati played LSU in Baton Rouge on New Years Day in 1897-- five years before the first Rose Bowl was played. After posting a 7-1 record that year, the Bearcats were invited down to New Orleans by the Southern Athletic Club. The Bearcats beat the Southern Athletic Club 16-0 on 12/30. At the victory party that night UC was challenged to a game by LSU. UC played the Tigers in Baton Rouge on New Years Day and won 28-0.

After reading this thread more closely I see the OP wanted historical games against other AAC opponents.

The one that stands out for me was back in 2001 when Gino Guidugli threw three fourth quarter touchdown passes (including one in the final seconds) for a come from behind victory over Memphis.

I think its funny that for as much as we are characterized as "CUSA rebirthed", some of our oldest rivalries and historic battles occurred outside of any CUSA realm:

ECU-Temple

Cincy-Memphis

UH-SMU

UH-Tulsa

etc....

know one knew how to run up a score like houston.. good times 03-cloud9

73-17 tulane 011
56-3 ecu 011
49-0 cincy 72
55-14 memphis 09

while holding 80% of all ncaa offensive records :)

its actually kinda depressing that we might be more a defensive team next year. we didnt win championships but our games sure were fun to watch (for houston fans anyways)

True. Cincinnati has played Memphis 31 times, yet only 9 of the meetings were as members of C-USA. UC never was in C-USA at the same time as Tulsa and yet we have played them 31 times as well.

Lets just open it up to any game played that you feel has historical significance to your team...best recent game of course is ucf beating Baylor

I was at this game, it was in the old stadium and the Phillies (I am a fan) had the Orioles in town during the 83 World Series. I remember going to a tall building and looking down upon the Vet!

I was there, I was 5 years old but I remember it.........vaguely!

I have never rooted so hard for a team I wasn't a fan of in my whole life.
