Like I said, he has been depicted both good and bad. And I am pretty sure the very first movie in 1954, Godzilla was not a friendly type of guy......just sayin'.......

Considering Godzilla is a giant metaphor for the atomic bomb in that flick, I would say the Japanese did not intend to cast it in a positive light.

Yes, I read Wikizilla too. But the majority of the films depicted Godzilla as a sort of savior. The Godzilla vs (insert evil monster here) movies. This is what really defined the character.

This new movie remakes the first version so he'll be the "bad" Godzilla.

First, I didn't read Wikizilla...lol. Second, I am not disagreeing with you that Godzilla has been portrayed as a good guy in most movies. I am simply telling you that he has been depicted as both good and bad and that in his first movie he was definitely not a "good guy".

I watched a thing on IGN about the trailer and they were saying there will be other monsters in the movie as well...

The trailer from the top of this page is footage from the movie. Kinda verifies other monsters will be involved.

All I know is that the REAL Godzilla breathes fire when you push a lever on the back of his neck and can shoot his fists at you.

The trailers really needed an asian guy pointing at the sky and hysterically yelling "Godzilla!"
Just sayin.

Only 13 Days until the new Godzilla Movie!

When I first saw Godzilla and Mothra I was a kid and that's a long time. At that time I was like you guys are, excited and a little apprehensive, but hey I was still a kid.

It may turn out to be a good movie but when I watch it this time I won't be so gullible. I think I'll stick to Tuesday 1 dollar night to watch this version. At least if it sucks I won't feel like I got taken by Un-Holywood.

What exactly were you gullible about? I have never taken a Godzilla movie seriously except for the 1998 version which was a huge disappointment. I just watch Godzilla to watch monsters fight. But I'm also glad this movie will have a more serious tone to it and I trust Garth Edwards to do it right unlike the 1998 version.
