You can't keep brushing it off, Nomad by saying those people are irrelevant.

National Outrage against Farrakhan would have no affect on him. He'd still have his small group of followers.

If Magic Johnson had come out and said something like, "I don't want you to publicly associate with white people" as the owner of the Dodgers (the inverse of the Clippers), he would've been flayed in the media

It is absolutely absurd that you want to put Sterling on a higher plane than Farakahn. Give me a break.

Look. There is nothing you can say to defend it. Acknowledge the obscene double standard that blacks enjoy in the pathetic little race game we all love to play. Just do it. You know it's there. You know what I am talking about is valid. Stop making excuses. The black community is surrounded by racist public figures that say racist things all the time in the public forum and they are celebrated for doing so.

I commend you for agreeing that Sterling should not have lost his property, but you need to take it a step further.

I never said there wasn't a double standard. I'm just saying that it isn't as big of a rift as you think.

He also is more relevant that Farrakhan. He's in charge of housing for thousands of people, while Farrakhan may speak in front of a hundred 4 times a year. So yes, he wields about a truck load more influence than Farrakhan.

Whether or not that is true, it's not the crux of the matter?

Where is CNN's full coverage. Where is ESPN? Where is the national outrage.

Acknowledge the double standard. Acknowledge it as a cause of more racism. Stop making excuses for "your side."

Like the way the media flayed that NBA player for saying we need a Black only NBA?

What player? Larry Johnson? He hasn't been a player for 13 years. He's irrelevant and he's still getting flayed by papers across the country. He's been criticized for it on all of my sports radio and ESPN looks.

Pretty relative to his relevance.

Good, I'd LOVE to see that! Can you put a link up?

Even if she recorded and leaked the tape is that a violation of the law?

Serious Question, it varies from state to state..

In California it would be illegal is Sterling wasn't aware that he was being taped.

Yes it is illegal but a criminal misdemeanor offense. In civil court he could sue her for the damage she did to him which could be substantial, much more than the million or whatever amount she allegedly stole from him.

He also wouldn't have been a millionaire and setup by his cat lady gold digger... But I'd still say that LF has just as big a name as Sterling, even bigger actually. Just not a profile as extravagant as Sterling.

You just aren't ready to see the problem, Nomad and that will just have to be OK. I hope that you are one day able to see that a perfect circle has no one starting point.

Google News more if you want.

That is one story about it from a conservative paper and a blog. That is not a national meltdown like we see when white people say stupid things.

I'm wondering if any players will get banned for life now for using any racial epitaph in any aspect of their life now...

That would mean enforcing the true meaning of equality... Something MOST liberals aren't willing to support.

I don't think anyone uses an epitaph in any aspect of their life.

My long weekend of playing pasture pool while consuming copious amounts of alcohol have reminded me I'm no longer in my 20s.

I'm still trying to catch up on sleep. Getting up at 5 am, drinking beer before teeing off at 8, drinking a few beers per hole (we played 36 in one day), and finishing the day off with a little scotch and more beer has reminded me that I can't do it like I used to.
