Awesome! Thanks! Considering a move back home. It's between Memphis & a few other locations. So knowing whether that loop is complete affects my house search on zillow...

Also, can anyone give me a good idea of the yearly property tax for a house worth $250k??? In Collierville area? In Arlington? In Oakland? In rossville? The estimated on zillow seem skewed...

In Shelby Count unincorporated it would run about $2600 per year. Jump into an incorporated city, and it will be nearly double that.

86% of Piperton's budget comes from flooding their little piece of 385 with cops and nailing anybody they don't like. It's embarrassing, frankly, but obviously they don't care.

Just wait. Obama is considering allowing toll booths on all of the interstate system to raise funds. I can see Piperton setting up toll booths through that one small section of 385.

They do ---- if they're one of the 53%'ers. Maybe we should make the tolls only applicable to the 47% deadbeats who use the roads but don't pay for them.

You pay for the roads everytime you buy a gallon of gas @18 cents federal highway tax per gallon.

You do realize this will hurt the poor and middle class workers, dont you? Thats why smart people hammer out the scenarios and consequences of the actions ahead of time iinstead of knee-jerking a decision.

Who could have guess that demanding higher MPG from automakers and higher fuel prices leading to less fuel being sold would actually lower fuel tax revenues. Damn you mean the static economy model was wrong?????

While the radar comment is true, the answer to the question is yes, you can take 72 to 385, then 385 to I-40 and never get off a highway.

Pipertown is the small town just on the other side of the Shelby County line and before you get to Rossville.

we found one for sale that we love. A curve in the road ensures no neighbors ever on one side, and the closest house next door is 400 or so feet away. Also, there's something that sounds awesome about saying "I have to go into town" and mean Oakland, TN (pop. 6600)
