ADP: Firms Add 220,000 Jobs In April
Quote:Private employers hired 220,000 more workers in April, the highest monthly total this year, payroll processor ADP reported Wednesday.
ADP's report raises optimism about Friday's closely-followed Labor Department report on April employment. Labor's figures include the public sector.
Economists had expected ADP to report 200,000 more jobs, according to the median forecast in Action Economics' survey. That survey's median forecast for Friday's report anticipates payroll gains of 210,000 jobs and a 6.6% unemployment rate, down from 6.7% in March.
March's private-sector job gains were revised up to 209,000, ADP said.
The last time the ADP survey showed back-to-back months of job gains in excess of 200,000 was October-December 2012.

.1%. But we're adding hundreds of thousands of jobs.
Something, somewhere in here doesn't add up.

Well, wait for the BLS numbers. This is just the ADP report. It's not the same measurement. It's just a good indicator normally of what the BLS will show.

Nobody argued the growth under Clinton. It's not a conspiracy, it's just using falsified numbers to make everyone think the economy isn't in the dump anymore.

Except for the fact that there are countless other measures...as well as comments from the administration...that continually tell you that the economy still needs to get better.
But hey...keep throwing that idiotic meme out there.

This quarter should show if the winter weather was what held down the economy or not.

Settle down, Tom. I'm not throwing memes out there. I'm just saying that the numbers they're using include people who "aren't looking for work anymore," if they used those people, the numbers wouldn't look like such a growth. Look man, I'd do anything besides give a limb, murder, hump a dude, or suck a dick for lower gas prices and a good economy, I would LOVE to see something, anything happen to bring our economy back to what it used to be.

The economic growth can't even keep pace with inflation and poverty and employment participation is at levels we haven't seen since the 30s. Teen employment is the highest it has ever been and we have an entire lost generation that are edging toward 30 years old and are still living with their parents with no hope of landing a decent job and refusing to take a less than ideal job and no hope in the near future of getting married or having children, but opting to alternative sexual experimentation and drugs instead. The economy sucks.

The truth should be hurting you as well. People who aren't looking for work are unemployed, yet don't count in the unemployment numbers. They just take money from us. Are you okay with that or do you want to throw another meme retort at me?

This.
It isn't an idiotic meme at all. They have changed a number of the metrics or measures used to define the unemployment number now. These are recent changes the latest being, I believe, something like what used to be "unemployed" was someone out of work and looking for at least 2 weeks. Now? It doesn't count until it's 2 months or more. They are considered "seeking employment". Or some such bullschit, like that's bringing in a check. They are also no longer counting anyone in a "continuing ED" or matchbook truck driving school either. Like that pays the bills.
So yea, they may not have falsified these numbers, but they have sure as schit fudged the formula.
