Nobody is saying we shouldnt offer him. People are reacting to the ridiculous assertation that he could come in and start, be the focal point of the offense, and parlay that into a roster spot with the Grizzlies.

And some people even though Shaq was going to declare for the NBA as well.....If one could understand...what I stated was the opportunity to play in the Grizzlies Arena for your home games.....Incentive for him as he wants to be recognized for the next level.....Also, his game resembles that of a Tony Allen or Tayshawn Prince....with Tayshawn possibly being a cap casualty or close to retirement...It's like an audition at home fro MJ.....
It's amazing how people never want to hear the truth...Or mix others words and misconstrue things .....But I see why texting and social media is BAD and destroying communication as a whole......people don't understand....I never said he would play or get drafted by the Grizz ....but twist some stuff and it sounds like that, right Absolutely.....ridiculous Our world is in trouble because people have NO clue...keep texting and driving....and your message will get across one day
And who do you think is the focal point of UNCONNs' Championship offense????? Shabazz right????? wrong! It's Deandre Daniels because he is a matchup nightmare.....because he can score inside;rebound from the three with the best of them; and create from the perimeter because a slower lesser foot player is responsible for him because you are concerned that he is going to grab offensive REBOUNDS....That's the roll that MJ can play! Is he just as capable as Deandre? I don't know , but I'd sure love to find out......

I'm sure the kid is good but you can even make Adonis Thomas look like a super star by putting on a YouTube video of his highlights.

Adonis is getting shots at an NBA roster spot living his dream....There are certain aspects of the game that you can grasp from a clip and see intangibles that make this guy an elite level talent.....being able to hit mid-range jumpers @ 6'8 235 is rare, and this guy is confident in that area.....Also being able to catch the ball At the top of the lane, pivot towards the basket and dunk in one motion shows that he is an incredibly quick and gifted leaper( mainly a good reason why he is a top rebounder).....If a person has never been able to use their own athleticism to get above the rim. It can understand why most won't recognize the talent needed to pull off such accomplishments... So,being able to play the 3 for us is an incredible bonus, coupled with his tenacious rebounding and leadership capabilities.
He may not jump as high as DJ...but he has DJesq off the floor quickness or jets....And if you can imagine Dj with the ability to pull-up for a mid-range jumper & being 6'8 235.....This is pretty close.

Because Adonis has seen the court in the NBA and MJ Rhett plays for Tennessee State. I love Tennessee State there, I've got fam in that area.
Not sure why you feel the need to get personal, it's just pretty clear to anyone paying attention that Adonis or Nick King > MJ Rhett.

Don't like to feed into negativity! Those three players each have different aspects/intangibles in their own right....Whether they are better than the other is totally irrelevant....So to continue to bring up issues that don't apply here is senseless, and I don't have time for that, nor do I want to continue to create time for that.....King is going to be a terrific player in his own right and needs to spend limited time at the four,King needs to acclimate himself to the three...He could do that at a rapid pace,or it could take some time. But, in the meantime MJ could be an asset that would help King(while he acclimates himself) also Iverson(while he understands the role/position he's going to play) Shaq, as he needs to understand post positioning and how to gather himself;pivot and find the basket(finish plays) Austin,as he needs to get stronger both mentally & physically....
So while all of these scenarios needs to acclimate themselves to produce in a tough conference. We are still a very young team with very limited D1 experience....And we need a leader. So, for one year I think that MJs capabilities suits us well...That's my opinion, and there's no need for me to convince you of that! This is my imagination(my fantasy team,so to speak) Because that's all this is.......I L-O-V-E King, he was the best player for us IMO....And I hated to see him relegated to the bench....IVO has tremendous potential and I want him to play a major role here....
.I'm excited about Markel Pookie.....and our signees for the upcoming season, But we are Young;Inexperienced and don't really have to most experienced coach to get the most out of these guys ....so I know that MJ would bring a sense of leadership by example that this team can grow with...Because it was simply disgusting at times to see how we played last year......I don't want to see another year of that!

It would be shorsighted to bring in a one year transfer and give him some of King's minutes, we need to play King and develop him.
Yep, King's tempo adjusted rebounding numbers are MUCH better than Rhett's. King would be categorically better than Rhett at either the 3 or the 4.
We don't need to play King at the 4, so I don't mind bringing Rhett in to spell Austin and Hawkins. But King is the better player, in just about every facet of the game.

Yes, IMO King was our best player last year.....He and Dixon saved our butts in crucial games....It wasn't Shaq or Austin that made critical or crucial plays in crunch-time......But, don't forget the fact that there is no need to compare King and MJ. King needs to acclimate to the three, as he is a gr8 threat from three......Rhett has a nice midrange game, especially for his size and we desperately need that added to our offense to open up things for Austin and Shaq. So, if you can imagine adding MJ to what King/Austin and Shaq can do......That's outlook is promising for the Tiger team....It doesn't matter who is better that who.
I don't want to limit King or Iversons development and impact on this team.....But to have to motivate Austin every game is ridiculous and if Shaq doesn't work real hard to better his post game, we will be in a similar predicament as last year....those are my worries and I love the Fact that MJ can play multiple positions; is a leader and has a decent outside game and loves to rebound...Whether is starts for us or not, well that's neither her e nor there,.....But he would play the most minutes out of anyone...... It's Friday...Good Friday....Eat;Pray;Love;Enjoy<LIFE

You act like we have lazy big men
Good one....I absolutely love Austins game and what he brings to the Tigers. I think the most glaring issue with our team as a whole, not just the BIGS, Is the lack of further development from a coaching perspective. That, coupled with certain players having privileges, allowing certain players to make more mistakes than others threatens the team development as a whole, I think!
