Unfortunately, we have to take our medicine one week earlier with a home game on Oct 31st, which is another Friday night. We don't need these attendance problems.

Friday night will be OK. Wednesday/Thursday nights are the bigger problem.

Don't be shocked if we don't end up with one of those.

I think it's stupid. Friday nights are for High School Football, it's all about the almighty dollar.

And a Friday night game with little or no competition for TV sets is cool. I hope the university organizes and promotes a cool Halloween on Tiger Lane experience.

Halloween is a kid's Super Bowl, it is stupid that we are having a game that night. I'm in town that weekend, but I won't be there because of that. I'm sure many will be in the same boat.

Much of Halloween is organized parties instead of door to door begging in recent years.

Turn Tiger lane into a giant Trunk or Treat party and advertise the crap out of it. Kroger tickets come with a bag of Tiger Treats. Costume competition. Best decorated Tiger Lane space. Get the Greeks involved. Announce winners at half time and do a half time fright walk around the stadium field. The band and spirit squads could perform the entire Thriller routine.

Silks purse people not Willie the Whiners.

they can show neat Halloween stuff on the giant video board during timeouts, like Thriller or scenes from scary movies.

I would be a little shocked. That would mean we would be a featured game on national TV. I'd think UC, UCF, ECU, UH or SMU would be more vulnerable for a weeknight game.

I take it not too many of you have kids in high school. It's called high school football. And you can't get out of it because your college team is playing.

when you have kids, something always is getting in the way of something else. fewer kids are playing high school football on friday than kids sports on saturday days. espn doesnt give a rip how many butts are in the seats - if it was up to them, every stadium seating area would be painted green and they would just cgi in a crazed capacity crowd.

RE: Tigers at Temple Football Date change
wait. The Tigers have a game this season on a Friday night and its Halloween?

You mean I get to tailgate all afternoon on a Friday, with no work the next day and miss some crazy 11:00 am kickoff on a Saturday? Plus, everyone gets to dress up for a big Halloween party on TL? And (hopefully) all the Tiger fans on TL will bring candy for kids to trick or treat at other tailgates?

There are people who think this is a bad thing?

People who think my kids wouldn't rather trick or treat at a big TL party than on a trailer pulled behind our SUV through our neighborhood?

They are gonna love this.
