UTEP already had the strongest fan support in CUSA, with or without you. One trick pony is nothing special once you've seen the trick. Question is how much ridicule will EZU get from their new digs for having less than 5k at their basketball games?

You MU guys are really butt hurt over this. Don't you have a cousin you can snuggle up with and get rid of some of this frustration?

RE: Now that ECU is gone, will UTEP be the C-USA program with the strongest fan support?
All three of the public Texas schools.

UTEP has a history of great support and if the football team ever gets back on track, they will pull 40-50K easily.
UTSA's fan support is not as good as they claim it is because they have boosted their attendance with 40% opposing fans (OSU) but is still, by a good margin, one of the best int he league. I expect UTSA to continue to average around 30K. They need to improve student attendance.
NT had 38K at a bowl game against a crappy opponent and the team has been crappy for over ten years. We won like 3 games total in 4 years and 1 at home. 38K is hella impressive. I tend to think if NT keeps it up, Apogee will sell out most weeks. Student turnout at NT is anywhere from 8-12K so that makes it easy for alumni and fans to fill up.

Also, Southern Miss and LTech can't be counted out.

MT should see a dramatic increase in support next year. It's finally paying off, and we've got schools like BYU coming in for football. Maybe even UF for basketball too. Those are sellouts.

That's pretty unnecessary IMO. UTEP fans really do support their team though. I hope they can get back to filling the sunbowl because their basketball attendance is great.

That's ECU to you. Question.....have you ever been to an ECU basketball game? ECU is always packed with quality/name brand teams......same as most schools. Don't you just feel sorry for any individual who is nothing more than hater who has no Cusa (men) Championships and feel left behind. Please....put love in your heart......you will feel so much better. Best wishes to Cusa (new and old members) in future.

I'll call you whatever I want. The question the OP put forth was condescending and assumed, incorrectly, that you are the program with the strongest fan support. I pointed out that there is more than one sport, UTEP has consistently done well in more than one sport, and you're about to head into a conference where your attendance in at least basketball will be even less impressive by comparison. Truth hurts? They sell Vagisil at Walgreens and other fine stores.

Pirate tool is a pirate tool. An your M.O. of coming on here and offering some back-handed compliment or observation and then acting indignant when someone calls you on your bull**** got old upon your arrival, two years ago.

IDK without Marshall we probably won't even average 3k at football games.

You can take the trifecta of butthurt we gave you this year to the AAC with you free of charge. Put that in your fan support and smoke it.

ODU has never NOT sold out a football game, which have included games against teams like Chowan, Hampton, and Campbell. Granted, the capacity is only 20k, but we are building a new stadium. Once the basketball team gets back to where they should be, it's attendance will be right up there as well. We were 2nd in the conference despite being as bad as we have been over the last 2 years.

The only time UTSA gets over 25K is when they get help from visiting teams or the Texas State game. Fact. How convenient though, that OSU's colors are orange, just like y'all since of the whole UTSAtellite thing. I'm just guesstimating 40% by how OSU cheers and chants drowned out UTSA's weak UT-SA chant.

You got over 25K for a in-conference opponent once this year, just like us. Nice try, kiddo. Y'all 'brought" less fans than UTEP and about the same as Rice last year to Apogee, which was amusing.

UTSA's fanbase is just a bunch of paper tigers. Hell, Houston brought 30% of the crowd. I'd point you towards hanging out on Rowdy Talk but the place is just tumbleweeds because they're all on Shaggy Bevo.

But, hey, your students wouldn't come even if you gave them a free shuttle to the hangar. Students don't care, just a bunch of desperate T-Shirt fans desperate for football in that godforsaken hellhole in San Antonio. No NFL team would dare touch SA, though. So they latch onto UTSA. Too bad UTSA students/alumni couldn't give two *****. It's okay though, it's just a passing fad, that's why on Rowdy Talk and twitter it's always UT fan (and UTSA!) The 300 UTSA fans at the UNT love to talk crap about our attendance... that's because we don't play in the San Antonio equivalent of the Astrodome. This thing called weather affects attendance, just like it does at EVERY G5 school. Not UTSA, because you play in the Rent-An-Astrodome among 5 people with ties to UTSA. 26K saw us pound UTEP before, so it's logical that 26K would have came had it not been 20 degrees, cloudy with light sleet.

Go pound sand and fall in your sewer.

The fact that y'all draw literal flies to your basketball team on campus is more than proof that students don't care.

Sure, our attendance is down THIS YEAR but we're worse and we still double that attendance, but it has averaged anywhere from 3500-7500 over the past six years. Our student attendance was highest in the Belt (WKU and MTSU) by a massive margin. Not to mention having your sure fire first round draft pick quit halfway through the season because of an inept coach is enough to make people stop caring anywhere.

All I ever read from your bloggers is whining over student attendance. LOL

That being said, I am glad to have them in conference and as a rival but UTSA doesn't walk on water. I was freaking giving a compliment.

There you go with that one sport thing again. We sent you packing in the only year that matters. Your last one. In the three major sports of CUSA. Yes, I know those are sentence fragments. I broke it down so you'd understand. So, hang on to football attendance as the last thing you did in CUSA. I'll take the eternal scoreboard over the braggarts of Greenville in football, basketball, and baseball.
