Slight modification.
Sorry,
Knee-jerk reaction to what was bolded and changed by OCO. Yes RG was bad, but in the grand scheme of things, not the worst in western civilization, which is what I was directly responding to. If it's any consolation, my direct relatives were born in Poland during that horrible time. They came to this country afterwards for freedom, not socialism, which they were fleeing. They taught us to love liberty, and stand up to socialism.
That being said. I'll keep my opinion of who actually has that title in another thread on another board. Back to sports.

Sorry, but I'd have to respectfully disagree and go with this guy for that title, so far:
I know some would say "Why not Hitler?" Well, by and large Hitler gave the German people what they wanted at the time, albeit in a totally evil way. BO has radically divided a country even more than it was before him, has not brought nearly the improvements he promised, is constantly back-pedaling on his ideas, has greatly eroded America's international and foreign policy reputations, has sought a program of reforms against the free-market and individual liberty foundations of independence that the country was founded upon and that have sustained a greater portion of Western Civilization in recent times.
Yes RG was bad, but in the grand scheme of things, not the worst in western civilization.
I mean, wow, you can't even keep nonsense like this out of a hire/fire thread?
And the irony here is that you lament the polarization of the people in this country, yet you do it within a series of statements that is very... polarizing.
Welcome to my ignore list.

There are lots of people on here (and in life) that I don't get on with and don't care to, and I let them know it. As far as that goes, I am one of the straightest shooters you will ever encounter. Yet I try not to tune anyone out completely, because everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, and I will almost always do people the courtesy of hearing them out.
Advice noted, texd.

I removed the comment and apologized. It was a knee-jerk post to the bolded change that was made in response to a previous comment. I was just piling on that.
Not sure what more I can do.
I am sorry.

When I can no longer have a conversation with someone due to incessant and unthinking repetition, them they go on my ignore list. Disagreement on a regular basis won't get you there because the exchange of ideas is what a good conversation is all about. And with good owl, I find myself sometimes in agreement, often in disagreement, but seldom thinking "I've heard this 25 times before!" And because thought provoking comments, even if relatively quickly dismissed, are on my read and go on list, good owl doesn't come close to my ignore list.
By the way, if politically incorrect comment/placement of comment were reason to be on ignore lists, this board would die from lack of unignored posts. JMHO
A little surprised by that post in this thread. I'm not ignoring him just because of 1 out-of-place comment. But yeah, let's keep the rice sports forum free of that kind of stuff. We disagree enough on pitch counts, football X's and O's, and the like. No reason to throw politics into this mix!

Just quoting this so others can see it because it deserves to be seen.

agree.
RiceDoc and OO, good job working in the tyranny of political correctness. Way to stay on message.
