My feelings exactly. We've scored one run in 22 innings.
Duplantier stayed in too long.

Good grief...this is Tech. The haven't beaten us since the last century.

Seems like status quo for the offense today.

Why in the world did Wayne wait so long to yank Jon? He had clearly lost it after the 3rd consecutive walk. Geez, our offense is to anemic at the moment to allow 2 runs on no hits and no errors. Ugh.

Looks like Ewing wants no more of MMP. By my count, he's already hit 4 smashes for outs so far this weekend.

They are playing like they all want to be out of MMP as fast as possible!

Are we trying to gift them even more runs without the benefit of a hit?

Sometimes it's hard for our fans to remember why we play these games in MMP and take on some tough opponents. We're hoping that Jon D (as countless others) will gain some experience that will be useful on the Road to (and in) Omaha. That's why we play the games. That's why Michael A (and others) might be attempting to lay down a two strike bunt. Delayed gratification!

RE: Rice vs Tech
Are we underachieving in recent years or are we just not as good as we used to be? And if it is the latter, then have we lost our place as the top program in Texas because we are failing on the recruiting front? No accusations here, just asking others opinions who are more in the mix than I am.

Hoelscher tries to stretch a well hit ball to left into a double. Is called out at second
Looked like he was safe on re-play.

RE: Rice vs Tech
Whew, we couldn't afford to give up another run if we had any hope of winning this game.

Williamson lined out to 2B. Out 4th line shot out today. Can't catch a break
Byrd lined out to SS. Geez. Who gave Tech the rabbit foot today?
Hoelscher singled, but out stretching it into double. Who is coaching our runners on 1B? That's the 5th or 6th highly questionable decision to stretch a single so far this year?
So we get no luck, and then run ourselves out of the inning. Tech is playing this game on house money.

Down 0-2 heading to the bottom of the sixth inning.

Trying to get into scoring position with two outs is a good risk to take.

Tag was up on Shane's arm with his hand on the base. Bad call...correct decision by Shane.

Teykl pitching for Rice
Rice pitchers have combined for a 1 hitter through 5 innings.
Unfortunately, Rice has allowed 6 walks and a couple of HBP in those 5 innings.
Pop up
Ground out
Another HBP, 1 on, two outs
Fly out
After 6, TT leading 2-0

More like can't catch a break. We've clearly hit the ball far harder than Tech has today, but we hardly anything to show for it.
