I feel like he'll make a fairly processed jump in production by moving to the middle this season, a position where his naturally talents and physical ability better fits.

Yea I'm hoping we see better production out of the linebacker position and Luc with him moving to MLB where he won't be pressed into covering stretch run plays and short, lateral passes, which killed this unit in 2013 (Luc/Blair are just too slow). Hopefully whoever replaces him at OLB (Tentman, Casseus, Mouhon, Tappan, etc.) upgrade the position simply by being faster than Luc is.

Yeah I recall Luc getting badly juked out multiple times, especially in that illinois game.

Luc played pretty damn well for someone who was obviously not in his natural position. I think he will fit in really well as the MIKE in this defense

I find it ironic that most folks complain about the noon kickoffs that TV dictates during the season. But with the Spring game, UC can choose to schedule the event anytime. And they choose.......noon. 03-banghead

Our LB corp is interesting. The only solid returner is Temple. i think a lot was expected of Jean Luc but he seemed to disappear quite a bit. Perhaps he was just getting back into form since he had such a long delay off the field but i'm hoping he finds his stride this season. Same for Solomon Tentman, if for no other reason than i want the local prospect who stuck it out all these years to get rewarded for his efforts. After that there are a lot of question marks. i recall Clemente Casseus making plays. Corey Mason making plays mostly on special teams. i'm very curious about Eric Wilson, Kevin Brown and Ey Shawn McClain, all question marks in my book. As far as Kevin Mouhon, if he deserves to see the field, by all means, he shouldn't have to redshirt.

I think Tentman is just now getting back to being 100% after his injury.

That should give you an indication of where Munchie will be next year as far as athleticism and explosiveness are concerned.

He was also much better toward the end of the year than the beginning.

Other #Bearcats changes include Rod Moore moved from DB back to RB

Also, Tommy G says that RDAIV is a WR but will also run the ball some.

Whoops, thanks for the correction. Definitely misread that.

Any word on why Mason left the program? Was he one of the people that was asked to leave?

Hopefully we see a little Tavon Austin out of RDAIV this season! Also wondering about Mason. Lets hope some guys really step up this year and keep the Cats at the top. I would love to see Gunner shred some defenses for the next 3 years and take us into the B12/ACC on a high note.

No. I think he's graduated and it didn't sound like he was finally gonna get a scholarship for this upcoming season.

RE: Spring Football 2014
Mason wasn't ever going to get a scholarship and his PT dwindled to ST only by the end of the season, so I think he just figured it was his time to go. Going to miss him on ST for sure, kid was in on just about every tackle on kickoffs.

I don't like hearing that "both will play". It just doesn't seem like either will be able to get into a rhythm if they sub them in and out so often.

I wish they would just pick a QB and stick with him.

I assume "both will play" is a motivational technique to keep the obvious #2 from giving up. Who knows when his number would be called.

First posting - been reading and lurking for years.
