Crazy, how much did it cost Gwinnett county to take custody, transport, book, arrangement take to the bench, release Roddy, Vs. the cost of ticket driving with tinted window.
It would have been cheaper to place a stamp on an envelope, write Roddy advising him a warrant will be issued for his arrest if he doesnt pay the fine for failure to appear because of tinted windows.

I believe he may have shown up saved everyone some time, money and news on a slow day.

They passed two dead hookers and a meth lab on their way to jail.

That said take care of your own business and it's not an issue.

Yes, I'm sure Roddy was not aware of his court date. Anybody who gets a ticket is never aware of a court date, right? Also, I didn't read how they got Roddy. Did they show up to his house in the middle of the night, or was he stopped somewhere and they saw he had an outstanding warrant. Obey the law and you won't have these issues.

At least he didn't shoot anybody.

Isn't that what getting a ticket is? I mean, you get a ticket, you don't show up, you go to jail. How many hand holding reminders do you need? It's not like getting a ticket is a minor thing you forget about at the end of the day

Unless you get a looooooooot of tickets. And make millions of dollars. When I get a $150 ticket, I remember. If my take home pay had a few more zeros on the ends, it wouldn't be as big a deal.

exactly…the seriousness of taking care of your legal obligations to the court aren't very important to rich folks. i guess to some, thats how it should be

It doesn't matter if you're Bill Gates or the hobo at the corner of I-65 and University Boulevard. Everyone is held to the same legal standard. Just because Roddy is a UAB alum doesn't mean that this is something that should be ignored.

Getting a ticket IS a minor deal. Being arrested and jailed is NOT a minor deal. Honest question, mixdup, have you ever been locked up?

Did you even read? It sure doesn't sound like he was locked up. And if he didn't want to get arrested he simply could have paid his ticket

I agree with you, and I'm not defending him. I'm just saying he lives in a different world, so it is probably harder to get his attention with fines.
