Yup, freshman mistake.

This is a hilarious thread.

Because Woodson had a boner play- suddenly the bath water gets thrown out.

Which makes sense in a game where Shaq Goodwin- a player who has developed tremendously from last year, and Joe Jackson, a player who is so much better than he was as even a pretty good freshman, and Nick King, a player who is playing so much better right now than he was earlier in the year, were the stars...along with Dixon.

Every single team in America has some kids who got better and some who did not. Pigeon holing either direction is simply self loathing in many occasions.

Yes- you are just expressing your opinion.

As am I. That this style opinion is not surprising.

In my opinion they are good, and in my opinion, this comeback win after struggling mightily on offense for the first 25 minutes of the game, was really good. Mileage may vary.

Frustrating loss. I hate Pastner so much that I'm incapable of rational thought. No very impressed with the Zags this year.

FIFY.

It was a win, which is obviously the objective but it WAS very frustrating to watch. It's just tough to put a finger on it. No, I don't think Gonzaga is really that good. We made the big kid look like Wilt Chamberlain at times. They recognized we had no real defensive strategy when the got the ball in the post and went with it for a while. Why we had Joe running the point for most of the game was puzzling to me because he stagnates the offense when he's at the top. Always has. A lot of head scratchers in this game.
Did you make it to the game?

Let me answer that question for you/him..................oh, NO.

That's why they are ranked ahead of us, they are terrible.

This was a really good win. Because it was a win. For me, it was frustrating that we struggled so much at home with this team. And no, I don't think Gonzaga is very good this year. Doesn't take away from the win, but I don't think Gonzaga is very talented.

I wasn't blown away by their talent either. I don't think many of us are. We should win that game based on better overall talent and home court advantage. And we did.

Not to say we didn't make it interesting.

Joe gets all the credit for this one.

Awesome caption. I wasn't able to go to the game, but when this play happened and no "over the back" foul was called, I was like SMH!!

At the same time, Dom's foul was every bit a flagrant II, but I don't think he meant to hurt the guy. He was just trying to keep him from dunking and should have raked both of the guy's arms instead of grabbing both shoulders and throwing him to the floor. If dude will lose 35 pounds this offseason, he could really be a solid contributor.

TM

He's been fairly solid with the 35. He doesn't look soft and fluffy and can elevate that 300 plus pounds above the rim. I think when he loses 35 pounds he may end as much more than just a solid contributor.

While it may be a bit of a down year for them in terms of talent and mopping the floor with opponents as they may have done in the past they're still a ranked team. If that's not one of the primary metrics by which to judge a teams overall performance then what is?
