She didn't laugh at him, she chuckled because she expected him to say something else on top of that. It was awkward, but not in jest IMO.

You mean Durant didn't build that?
He must be a liberal.

I think one of my favorite parts of going to Thunder home games are the prayers before the game. Durant is usually right up front and the entire arena is silent. It's a tremendous display of the faith in OKC.

Yep.
Or that it was god that made those shots and not him. Some peoples concept of god is so odd to me.

You can find far more tremendous displays of faith in any soup kitchen around the US.

I wouldn't laugh, but I also don't think God is to concerned about sports. I was always told not to pray about it.

God gave him the talent and the relationship with God has allowed him to find a path where he is able foster that talent. God gives him the strength to put in the work and overcome adversity with a positive mindset and persevere. No, God is not up in the sky picking winners and losers of sporting events, but if an individual has faith, He provides that pathway to make it happen. Some people indeed find a way to succeed taking different paths, but who the hell are you to tell this man that following God's path has nothing to do with the result?

No, you don't pray for a favorable result, but you do pray for the mental strength to train harder and overcome obstacles, no?

How would you like to play for the Heat?
"Damn. God's for the other team. Why'd we even leave the hotel?"

You were commenting on the 'tremendous' nature of a display of faith, and I was commenting on the utter inanity of this silly display of 'faith' that you seem overwhelmed by. It's patently underwhelming, and indicative of the problem that christianity is facing in regards to it's ties to capitalism. You think Jesus would like those huge temples to sport being built while people are still suffering?
Your comment was silly, ill thought, and indicative of your limited reasoning ability.

There is not a hair on your head that God does not put there in place... Now a real Christian will praise God after a loss as joyfully as they would after a win.
And for the "he must hate the other team"...
Exe9 13 Then the Lord said to Moses, z“Rise up early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, “Let my people go, that they may serve me. 14 For this time I will send all my plagues on you yourself,1 and on your servants and your people, so athat you may know that there is none like me in all the earth. 15 For by now I could have put out my hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth. 16 bBut for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so cthat my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.

Cute. Mock the guy because of his faith.
Never understood why some people feel the need to put so much energy into putting down something they clearly don't even believe in and have no use for.
