Even if USF is eligible, the bowl might still pick UCF.

Disagree on 2 parts. One, I think USF will get to 6-6, so I think they will be eligible, and 2 it's a virtual lock for USF to go to Beef's bowl, if eligible. It's been several years since they went to Beef's bowl. This is my opinion, I could be wrong...

Next season is going to be reeeeeeeeeally interesting for USF. Lots of the 'transition' excuses will be gone. CWT will have brought in half the team. His system should be pretty well known. We're either going to crater again, or make a significant improvement to a 6-6 bowl appearance. If we crater again, I don't see there being a lot of patience by the remaining USF faithful. Will pretty much indicate his system/staff/approach is just not going to work out for us...

Would USF fire him if it's another unsuccessful year??

Truthfully I doubt it. We're still paying Holtz. Barring something catestrophic, I think CWT will get 3 years. Probably depends on record, if he wins 0-1 games, we might pull the trigger. 5+ certainly will be back. In between is a grey area.

I think WT will win at least 5 games next year. We won 3 the year before and 2 last year so really any improvement on that and he will stay. We did play UC,UCF and Houston the top three returning teams pretty tough last year so I could see even a bigger turn a round if the ball bounces the right way.

USF should at least split OOC 2-2. I could see 3-1.

08/30 Western Carolina (FCS/2-10 in 2013)
09/06 Maryland (ACC/7-6)
09/13 N.C. State (ACC/3-9)
09/27 @Wisconsin (B1G/9-4)

The first one is an automatic W, the last one an almost-automatic L.

Probably split the two in between, but a legit chance to win both.

Funny, a few years ago, and USF would have expected to win at Wisconsin, and likely would have. Although a likely loss, I don't think this will end up being lopsided by any means. USF has always had talent and the ability to win big OOC games. Always. Review USF history (up until recently).

Agreed. I think USF can keep it close, but I'd be stunned if they win the game outright.

They also barely beat an improved but very young Tulane team that went 7-5 in CUSA and had major QB issues including one of the worst pick 6's and 2 minute drills I have ever witnessed.

That website is an absolute joke but experts at trolling readers.

Terrance Broadway played the game with a broken arm. We lost to ULM because Broadway broke his arm in the 2nd quarter and played until late in the 3rd and threw 3 int's before he could no longer hold onto the ball. We lost to South Alabama because we had a pick 6, 3 fumbles inside our own 20 yard line on our first 4 possessions.

We also return 19 starters off of last years team. Of the 19 starters returning , 12 have been starting for two seasons. This is the same core group that has beat SDSU, ECU and Tulane the last three years in bowl games.

Will we run the table? I doubt it, but I would not be surprised if we do.

Keep trolling the AAC board for UL-L. You have not been able to get into CUSA for years where many of your Sunbelt fellow members have. The new CUSA as we all now is now the Sunbelt 2.

The official attendance for last year's BOB's Bowl was 21K. We didn't exactly pack the house. If we go from the Fiesta Bowl back to the St. Pete Bowl, there will be little enthusiasm to support it, especially if the ACC can't fulfill it's slot.

If we did end up playing in the Bahama Bowl, that would be two international games in one season. I wonder if that's ever happened before.

Ok Savatool, keep trying to spread misinformation about the Cajuns. We pounded Tulane two years ago and busted y'all ass on your home field in front of 40k Cajun fans with a QB that had broken arm.

Cruises from the cape to the Bahamas this December were like $180 a person for 4 day / 3 night. Just have to time it right. No reason UCF shouldn't have a cruise ship to the game....

I still contend that we should add ULL and Toledo. That way we can use the phrases..."Ooh La La and Holy Toledo" all the time.

I like the way you think. It seems like a rational reason for expansion....I'm sold. 04-rock

I'll say this. You have your entire team returning and should have the best cajun team in history. And you have the manageable schedule to do it. I'd have to see more on defense before I'd give you a good shot to run the table, but it's a chance.
