Keep all the NCAA banners...and the 2002 NIT Championship banner...but the rest look kinda "small time" IMHO.

I'd say we keep the ones from the 50's. It was a real tournament back then.

Naw, on second thought your right. It wouldn't help us gain any favor with a better conference, but yea, there is a part of me that would like to do that.

I had a Duke friend with me today and the first thing he said when we sat down: "You guys hang banners for the NIT? How cute."

I think he's right.

One banner for all NIT appearances and one for all NCAA tournament appearances with separate banners for NCAA Final Fours or betters and NIT championships. While we're at it, lose the Performance Toyota logo on the court. Totally ruins the flow of the court.

History is history. The NIT has changed over the years, but is still part of our history. The best way to improve the banners is to win in the NCAA's.

I think getting your number retired probably encompasses more than just what you did on the court. How much involvement with the university has CDR had since he left.

Kentucky, UNC, UCLA, Duke, MSU...they don't do NIT banners.
