First of all the man is a good coach and could do what he is doing here anywhere. Second ,up to this point what has the UofM done in football for us to say anything bad about a school in a p5 conference. The facilities at Indiana are much better than ours that is a fact. I am just extremely greatful to who ever stepped up to keep him here.

Why dont we play indiana?

Noticed Odom is now following lots of Arkansas connections on twitter over the weekend.

With his connections to Missouri, where Arkansas has really started to recruit since Petrino showed up and it seems like a good target for Arkansas.

Cool odom is following Arkansas stuff. I having to follow Ohio State stuff.

I hope this is not true. We only lose 4 SR on defense (3, if you don't count Farms). Plus Punter Hornsey (awesome defensive weapon). Was hoping to get 1-2 more years.

Barry Odom is off to Arkansas and probably taking Jarvis Cooper with him....He likes Cooper as a recruit and Cooper Always wanted to be at Arkansas.....Again If i were General Justin, I would ask Butch Davis if he would be Interested.....First If Butch did do it, he could get his name back out there and salvage whats left of his reputation....Second he is from Arkansas and would like to be closer to home, Third , The Man knows Talent and how to build a program.....All he could do is say no right?.....Ricky Hunley was a very good hire, Now lets go after Butch Davis or Ed Oregeron and see if they would be interested.....One Dream, One Team, Memphis....All for one, One for all, All for Memphis....The World Is Ours Memphis....

Hell, if we're going after big names...why don't we ask retired coach Jimmy Johnson to be our defensive coordinator? Or Dave Wanstedt? Or Lou Holtz?
Or Barry Switzer? Hell, why don't we ask Lloyd Carr while we're at it...all they can do is say no right?

Smith from Rutgers wants the job and is waiting till tomorrow to tell Rutgers something and that it is likely he's going back there because it appears Arkansas wants Odom more. As for Shannon, supposedly his buyout from Miami has something in it about not being anything other than a position coach till Jan 31 of this year when I think the buyout is complete and he would likely be named asst. head coach.

I asked John Martin about this just a few minutes ago

There are many things I understand. In fact...I teach what I understand to students at my college who DON'T.
For instance...I understand the need for PARAGRAPHS and line spacing.. A simple grammatical tool you have yet to master.
There is no proof as of yet that Barry Odom is going to Arkansas. John Martin of the CA said he was in a recruiting meeting for MEMPHIS today.
Why Butch Davis?
He has no ties here. In Arkansas he may.....but then again so does Barry Switzer. Are you saying that Davis is more deserving than Barry Switzer of redemption?
ESPECIALLY since Butch Davis was NEVER NAMED A SUSPECT in the NCAA Inquiry?
Don't know anything about football? I may not have access to the football gossip that you do moron....but I have FORGOTTEN more about football, than you will EVER KNOW.

And as for Ken Dorsey...he may be doing a fine job at Carolina. That does not GUARANTEE he'd do as good a job at the college level because of recruiting.
As he never made a big name for himself at the pro level...many college kids today would ask "Ken WHO?"

Try a conversation without name calling and insulting people. Disagreement is OK and expected but civility would be nice.
