What do you know? Spill it.

No shots were fired. Guys walked in and smashed the display case and took a bunch of Rolex watches.

Remember when Wolfchase was considered the 'good' mall? Before that, Hickory Ridge, Mall of Memphis......

Just curious but what's the "good" mall these days ?

I was a Raleigh-Springs patron back in high school...good mall in its day

I cannot remember the last time I went to Wolfchase Mall. Probably about ten years ago.

RE: breaking news Wolfchase mall
I worked in the Hickory Ridge Mall for 2 years during college back in 2003-2005 just before its demise in front of an independent jewelry setup owned by a family from India. Sold lots of legal drug cleansing products to illegal drug users, though we were never robbed. Always thought I would be, but others were though.

After 7 blood-sucking years in Corporate Finance/Accounting I sometimes long for that excitement again. The time the two guys went bolting through the mall in front of my store with 50 layers of clothing thrown over their shoulders and overweight security guards chasing them while trying to call the police was very exciting. Every retailer was closing their gates to protect themselves but I was too late and exposed. Gosh those were some fun times.

Just don't ever get that adrenaline rush in a corporate office environment to keep things interesting 07-coffee3.

Whether or not shots were fired, the reports are that the suspect were armed.

Even though Simon explicitly posts signs saying weapons are not permitted in the mall.

Can't they freakin' read?

Both are necessary. The people are what kill neighborhoods. If people in general would have some self control and respect for others, things would be way different. Plenty of decent hard working people live in apts and are a positive contributor to society. Malls give those hard working people a place to shop. It is the low life selfish people that kill society and neighborhoods. As in most instances, the few mess it up for the rest of us.

The point was that malls are magnets for those people

Google tells me there have been a few of these over the past few months across the country. To me, this doesn't seem like a local job.
