I definitely used to be like that. My wife was amazed at how composed I was all through the Lville game. I wasn't feeling well so maybe that tempered my outward enthusiasm.

I'm most nervous right before tip off and the first five minutes and last five minutes of a game.

RE: Big Game Jitters
I'm not nervous at all. When we play night games, I have a 3 hour lunch w/10-12 drinks; put in a highly productive hour of work, grab a cab home and have a nap until 5 minutes before tip-off. When we play day games I stay out until 4-5 in the morning; drink my face off, and sleep in until 5 minutes before tip-off. If you can work in a little carousing with loose women into your pregame routine, the time passes even quicker.

This has always worked for me and I highly recommend it.

RE: Big Game Jitters
I am fine until the last 5 minutes or so of a close game. Before the game and all that I really do not even think much about it. I do know that I get substantially more nervous watching close games than I ever did when I was playing in any close games growing up.

A little edgy right before tip-off, if we're leading in a big game at halftime I am a complete wreck the entire 2nd half waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I never get nervous before the game. However, if the game is very close, going back and forth and under 2 minutes, I can get nervous. I certainly don't need to drink or get 03-drunk

I got really wound up for the Temple game, primarily because it was a Saturday game, and the free time worked on my nerves, plus I was watching other teams play earlier games.

For some reason I'm not so nervous about UConn. Guess because they've been disappointing much of the season. Yes, irrational, I know.

I drink before and during the game. I can't eat, and I'm probably not the most sociable guy to be around. I just focus on basketball.

I've admitted to not being able to watch, constantly viewing my phone for positive messages.....if I think we are going to win, then I watch

for big games and tourney games only - the lesser opponents, I'll watch

Tiger games cause me greater anxiety than the presentations I make to the highest level of my multi-billion organization. It's silly, but it is reality. 01-wingedeagle
