Didn't know Muntrelle was the all time leading rebounder. That's pretty salty.04-cheers

You know, we have been able to see some pretty fair ballplayers over the years.

True, he signed some good ones, but he flat ass lucked out on Fish, if you believe the story that he didn't want to sign Fish.

I honestly don't know what Jim's initial thoughts on Fish were. I do remember being in Mike Hamrick's office and Mike telling me that Derek (who we had just signed) would be the best player of the Parkview 5; 4 of which went to highly regarded programs like Florida State, Stanford, etc. Of course, he was right. Since Mike was not the basketball coach, I assumed he got that from Coach Platt. Of course, I've heard Ron Crawford's claim that he had to "beg" Jim to take Derek. However, I don't believe much that comes out of his mouth and have never seen him do anything to help UALR.

Ron Crawford strikes me as quite a scumbag, so I wouldn't trust anything he said.

Do you know Ron? Why would you say that? I'll agree he hasn't done much to help UALR, but there are a lot of folks who could fit into that category.
I have had nothing but nice experiences the few times I've been around Ron
and have no reason to believe he's not a decent guy. I just wish he'd help us recruit some of his AAU players who are D1 quality.04-cheers
