Strong's comments after the bowl game last night saying Miami was the best offense they faced all year. Ridiculous

RE: oh Charley, you still have bitter beer face
Miami averaged 37 PPG before last night...Louisville held them to 1 TD....Strong can say whatever he wants after going 12-1 this year and 23-3 record for the past two years with back to back likely Top 15 Finishes including Bowl wins over 2 of the Big 3 in Florida.
Remember, Louisville and Miami are locked in recruiting battles right now over the same players...pumping them up after manhandling them...has nothing to do with UCF....has much more to do with UofL still trying to get Travonte Valentine, Chad Thomas and Mike Smith away from Miami...

Strong can say whatever he wants huh??? Well then I suppose UCF can say whatever they what about Louisville then right??? I mean if we are just making up arbitrary rules about who can say what and why. UCF put 38 up on Louisville, ON their turf, ON their homecoming, ON national TV. UCF is/was the best offense/team Louisville faced all season. Oh wait, that is in fact the truth, thats why UCF is the AAC champion and going to a BCS bowl unlike Louisville who had to settle for Orlando's lessor bowl against an unranked team.

Yeah, I guess you can throw in the 77 points they scored against Savannah State to pad the stats of your argument.
You can also throw in the stats that their defense was so bad, especially the last part of the year that they had to score quickly just to try to keep up after giving up over 30 points a game in 5 of the last 6 and over 40 in 3 of the last 6.
Miami was and still is vastly overrated in 2013 beating only one FBS team (Georgia Tech) win a winning record in the regular season.

Louisville played great, but without Duke Johnson, that is a god awful offense.

Correct anyone watching UM the last part of the season without Duke and others knew their offense was not all that great.

The fact that anyone thought Morris was a 2nd round pick earlier hurts my head. For a team with the tradition and location of Miami, their talent level is pretty bad.

The scholarship reductions have hurt UM. They have little depth in many positions which is why the injuries hurt. They have been having good recruiting and now that the sanctions are gone iF Golden stays they will continue to move up.

Still I understand what UL fans have said. Miami area is a big recruiting ground for Strong comparing his team to the home school after trashing them and praising them makes his win look bigger. I still think that he will have a hard time prying the bigger names out of this area. Miami is getting stronger and as long as Golden stays that will continue. UL got Teddy and a few other that were originally Miami commits when the turmoil was happening at Miami and they took the cheating assistant coach which I won't name to help in landing those kids.
UL will still recruit the area hard but will be very difficult to beat UM and FSU for the real top talent.

Maybe he could just recruit without trying to invent alternate realities, such as Miami is the best offense they've faced, UL is better than UCF, etc.
Or maybe he's just demented and forgot that UCF put up 38 against his super awesome defense in Louisville.

Who cares what he says. His speech was geared towards recruits and was a spin job. Why you guys are all up in arms about it is ridiculous. Coaches do this all the time like when they play up a patsy before they play them. It's all about the audience that they are speaking to.

He should run for office the way he can spin. Miami's QB played one of the worst game's I've ever seen at any level. He was awful in big games most of the season, but they hid behind their running back. Too bad he was injured. He must've gone to the Lou Holthz school of making your opponent into the all time greatest team ever. Still glad Louisville won. They may win the ACC next year as it's a pretty weak league overall save for FSU.

A lot of overreaction in this thread.
Coaches say crap like that all the time. Everyone knows Miami's offense sucked without Duke.

True...and while that goes for any coach/player...media hordes will still be at every conf and will write about everything a coach/player says...which will attract fan/reader reaction.

Fine with me if anyone wants to go on a hissy fit with what he or any other coaches say. Coaches will spin their speeches every time.
