Interesting Facts about the KKK
The KKK was originally formed by Democrats to harass members of the newly-formed Republican party, which was was created for the purpose of protecting the rights of newly-freed slaves. They lynched dozens of white Republicans in addition to blacks.

Prominent Democrats were involved with the KKK including Sen Robert Byrd, Who was a KKK recruiter in the 1960's.

It's really sad that so many actually believe the lie.

Regardless of he words used, it was LBJ who passed the most sweeping bills of the civil rights era. He did use offensive language but he appeared to be genuinely appalled by Jim Crow.

LBJ wasn't a great salesman. He was the most effective (if not always the most ethical) legislator of the 20th Century.

He was appalled by AA"s voting GOP... If he was opposed to Jim Crow he very well could have done something about it while in the senate but instead he stopped several civil right bills.

And as a legislature how many times in the senate did he stop GOP based civil rights bills?

Remember MLK died a republican for a reason!

But that's ok, you'll let that pass, right? But you'll bash a leader from 100 years earlier who was never quoted saying anything like that. Transparent much?

LBJ was an early opponent of Civil Rights bills. He ended up being the most powerful backer of those bills.

I'd like to see your source for that assertion about MLK. I know that MLK's father was a Republican in the 1950's. He switched his public allegiance in support of JFK. I'd love to see that source.

The KKK is still alive and well in the Democratic party - race is their most lucrative resource. Once certain groups figure out the DNC for what they truly stand for, they will collapse as a party. That is their history and there is nothing more to them.

Source?

Also, I'd love to see the Democratic party collapse. Same with the Republican party.

I can agree with you on that one, at least with regards to the ones in DC.

Surprisingly, I have often said the same thing.

No no no. We are going to do that on this thread. If you want a feel good libertarian discussion, start it yourself.

This is about the DNC and their exploitation of race. They've been doing it since their KKK days.

This is one area where the RNC and DNC are like night and day. If we had an honest media and educational system in this country, minorities would run from the Democrats like the plague.
