If you answered agnostic ... have you read "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins? If not, I strongly recommend you do so.

What is your religion?
Christian. Don't really care to get into the subtleties of denominations.

RE: What is your religion?
Raised Methodist but I've attended my wife's Southern Baptist Church since we started dating about 27 years ago. I've never joined because every time I think I might the SBC does something I think is stupid. That plus I'm just so Methodist I can't bring myself to do it.

Re: What is your religion?
Raised in a Protestant family (Assembly of God), went to elementary school at a Lutheran school, went to church with an ex girlfriend to a Christian "cult" called the Christadelphians, current girlfriend is agnostic but willing to go to church and raise children to be Christians. I'm non denomination after all of that and believe what I feel God tells me is true.

RE: What is your religion?
Catholic.

I also believe that things happen for reasons, that people and events are put in the paths of my life and that ultimately I will be judged on what I did when things/events happened.

When you view life through that prism, you realize it is your obligation to act to make a difference yourself and not wait for someone else to step in.

The Northern Methodists and Southern Methodists split around the Civil War. But I thought they unified about 1925.

They did. They both are under the United Methodist. However, the Southern Methodists still have their own sect.

Nondenominational

I can honestly say I go to the best church in the country.

Our motto "a perfect place for imperfect people"

We have every type of person you can think of.

RE: What is your religion?
If non-denominational gives you what you need spiritually then that is where you need to be. It's not about one religion being better than the other. We are all ultimately all looking for the same thing and just need different support systems to get us there.

Besides it's not about what the church gives to you but all about what do you give to your church. People complain that church is boring, not entertaining or they don't get anything out of it. My question to them is always what did you put into it?

RE: What is your religion?
Southern Baptist born and raised. However, I do drink and dance, so I don't toe the SBC line. My pastor isn't the stereotypical fire and brimstone Baptist preacher and I think many non-baptists would really enjoy his sermons.
