Forte doesn't scare me in the least. I've haven't seen a white, shooter with minimal quickness hurt us much over the last 4 or 5 years.

Because we don't play much zone. Okie State is shooting 45.5% from 3 this season, 7th in the Nation. Not an offense that I want to throw a zone at.

You have to play a zone, some. You have to change things up a bit. Zone with length and we have the length to play a zone some. You vanilla it up all the time, you get results that lead to 0-13. Adjustments are what we've been missing against good teams.

I hear that, I'm just skeptical that a zone D is the way to go against a hot shooting team like OSU. I like going to a half-court trap, throwing a bigger longer defender on Smart, slowing down our transition in order to keep them off the defensive glass, etc.
I think maybe a triangle-2 with a defender on Smart and Brown/Forte.

ehhh A) you don't wear out a team like this, they are not Houston Baptist we are talking about and they are lead by a NBA professional basketball player. Think about it this way, if Chris Paul were to put on a orange jersey today what would you do? B) today will you trust the ughhh process?

Nope, Forte is 20-36 on the year, didn't play in our first game much.

Forte has a problem with quick defenders, which we have. I know he's a great shooter but quicker defenders will cause him problems.

Smart can get tired just like anyone else running up and down the court, but with all the timeout breaks, if his fatigue doesn't lead to foul trouble then he's going to stay on the floor and get his wind back.

I mean, he's just a spot up shooter. A quick defender or a slow defender wouldn't really matter much as long as they can fight through screens and not lose him on defense. Not a guy you want to put Crawford on, for instance.

While that is an excellent%, I'd say that being up 55pts, 53pts, 34pts, and 26pts,and him going against the other teams second string may have had something to do with those numbers. He was 17-27 in those games.
In the games where they were tested and won by 10 and 2, he went 3-9, or 33%.

He's never shot less than 33% in a game this season. It's safe to say that he's dangerous.
