Hope he can catch. That kind of size for a wide receiver is nuts.

Yep. He has to have the ability to catch and the QB needs the ability to get the ball to him. Those abilities have been so lacking with the Huskies.
We need smaller, speedy wide receivers like Rutkeiwicz. Not tall and slow ones. Unless he is going to put on 60 lbs and become a TE.

That is not the Wisconsin way.

I feel we picked up a good receiver from a quality program in OakLawn Richards. If this young man has the desire to be a football player he will be. Nice hands, catches with his hands. Strider with good jumps. Needs to pump up and that is how everyone will know if he wants to play. 6'4 with hands.

Bulk him up. Make him a super running back.
This season has taught me to not get excited about ANY recruit. What they did in high school or NIU practice means nothing to me. I will make my judgment when I see them playing in a game.

That’s not entirely accurate. You did get excited about one commit we poached from the blue hose.
A lot of these guys with next to no offers…

If you look at Hammocks recruiting, the only kids he can pull with multiple power 5 offers are running backs. Barely any success st other positions. Especially defense.

I get that not all players have a bunch of offers and turn into stars, but majority of the time players with a couple offers from other G5 show the kid has even more potential IMO to make an impact sooner.

They're probably walkons. We have something like over 20 players committed in 2023 class but we only have between 6-8 scholarships seniors who will exhaust their eligibility after this season.

Seniors:
1. Green-May
2. Joiner (probably comes back with a medical redshirt)
3. Kennedy
4. Lombardi (if he is not granted a medical redshirt)
5. Pugh
6. Soraghan
7. Thorton
8. Tucker

There will be transfers out and others who have been here 4,5 years that may not be asked back. Could add 6+ with that math.

How many scholarship players transfered out after last season? I can only think of Ducker, Wilty, and Bolden. Most transfers out are walkon players who move onto a lower level for playing time. I'm sure most of these 20+ commits are filling walkon spots of walkons who have left our program this year or will at end of season.

Maybe this is just me being optimistic, but Hammocks due for one of the young guys they recruited to really step up next year and become one of the next All MAC type player.

Since his first season was mainly all Carey's guys his first full year of recruiting it was Rudolph, then CJ Brown and this year seemed like no one has really. He is due next year. I'm not counting transfer players either.
Commit. Hyatt Timosciek from Lockport.

This kid is from our high school. He has been a very productive high school player.

I think he has a chance to be a very good college player.

He has 38 catches for 687 yards (edit).
