So coach just admitted that he will play gutless and soft 100% of the time. With that comment, Vincent will be here as long as Clark is coach. Great.

Either that, or he will hire his old college roomate, Grass, and run more of the same.
If he has so much confidence in our defense, he would’ve trusted them whether it was a 40 yd field or 80 yd field. He was scared and will not admit that he doesn’t trust what he has on offense or staff to go win the game.

Because he’s stubborn, he’ll continue to make the same gutless decisions going forward with the same staff that doesn’t give him confidence to draw something up to get 3 inches.

He’s due for staff and philosophy changes.

I showed up for a 2-10 team, I will certainly show up for a 7-4 team. Y’all are ridiculous, support the team. Do y’all really want no one to show up and pull support and fire the coaches?????

...been to every home game since '96... so that will be a big 'YUP' here...

04-cheers

Still pissed though.

I'm not going to UTEP next week. I will never willingly visit El Paso again. I'll be at Protective Stadium in Birmingham to see the team I spilled blood to bring back from the dead.

Spilled blood? Did you scrape your knee running after Ray Watts?

Geez. I pledged and donated some money, went to some events, and bought tickets. I didn’t realize it was an actual fight.

Typical coach speak:

1. The team battle.
2. The team played so well.
3. Thought they had the 1st down.
4. Kids are hurting right now.

Blah blah blah......
All this anger over the 4th down punt (rather than going for it at midfield) doesn't explain why we had failed in 3 downs to gain 10 yards for a needed first down. When the offense fails to gain the needed yards for a first down, you punt the ball unless you are close enough for a FG attempt. FG kickers and punters don't get onto the field unless the offense fails to gain the needed yardage to keep the ball. UAB gave up the ball almost 80 yards from our goal line, and the defense failed to stop their offense from scoring. That is why we lost that game.
You play the percentages.

A)likelihood you get a first down on 4th and inches is more likely to be successful than B) stopping them on your own 45 from eventually scoring a TD or C) stopping them from 80 yard TD drive.

If you convert on A, they can’t do B or C.

If you are so confident in your D, then you’d trust them in scenario B or C.

What does it say about your confidence in your offense and your coaching staff that you don’t trust them to line up and get 3 inches? (Maybe we are due for those changes that many fans have begged for)

Put the QB under center in I-Formation and have the two strongest players on the team push him from behind, over the first down marker.

HCBC doesn’t know accountability. How do you teach a group of men to own up to their mistakes and to be better men when you, their leader, can’t say you ****** up. Coaching has lost us multiple games this year

We only needed two inches, we gained 9.97 yards on the previous 3 downs that they knew we were running the ball and averaged close to 6 yards a rush for the game. We have a tendency to play soft defense in critical situations and give up big plays and a knack for terrible penalties. Gain 3 inches and the game is over, don't have to worry about penalties, game is over. Even if we don't make it on 4th down we still had a chance to stop them. It only took them two plays to get where they would have gotten the ball if we did not make it on 4th down. If our defense is good enough to stop them even more reason to go for it as you would think they could stop them if we did not convert. No reason at all to punt there, terrible decision and it cost those players , us fans, and everyone that cheers for UAB the chance at a 3 peat. No one should logically be able to watch this game and say it was the right decision.

Also, if you play to win, you don’t put the ball in the opponents hands when the game is on the line.
