and a Roadrunner... yep!
Congrats to the new additions, and welcome!

Go Pirates!
I refuse to accept this or even act like its happening until everyone of them is signed on and the contract is dry... and even then I plan on being pissed.
What a **** show.
If this is true, I think you just made yourself very vulnerable, chasing the markets is what killed CUSA.

Hilarious, CUSA can just add Liberty and JMU and actually come out pretty well.

Or a CUSA and Sun Belt merger could pool most football schools.

Would be an interesting take, if markets or football schools win out.

Doesn’t matter if you are pissed or not. Reality is that if this happens is the best we could ask for those remaining. Keeping our payout and exposure as the 6th best conference was the goal among the remaining 8.
Honestly, the only program I feel sad about losing is FAU, but their basketball stinks. They've been a good football program.

Losing Charlotte is great.

Losing the Texas block is even better.

UAB is meh....
As much as the unchosen C-USA fans are pretending this really helps them, the AAC just added 4 of the top 5 football teams in C-USA so far this year. Not saying much, but AAC is not taking C-USA bottom dwellers like some would have you to believe.

AAC will have better exposure and payouts than CUSA and SunBelt. Those CUSA market teams probably had the crappiest exposure possible which hurt them in growing their brands, they will have that and more money in AAC.

Time will tell

Yeah losing a 2 time CUSA Football Champion with a brand new stadium is not bad lol

It does when I stop paying my donation each year and stop getting tickets. USF has used me and many like me as an open check book and think that we will never stop. At least a dozen Iron Bulls are not happy about this.

We have many places we can put our money and if its not gonna be with a program that is truly dedicated to winning, then we can find elsewhere. They dont own my loyalty. They earn it and this aint it.

It's not a death blow by any means.

It actually presents the Sun Belt and remaining CUSA schools with options.

UAB deserves this. The rest, I mean...no rational fan can look at the other schools media performance, all worse than Marshall, as an improvement.

It's hilarious Marshall will get passed over, and has a much greater track record of attendance, performance and media viewership than every school on this list.

Just speaking truth.

UAB is deserving. But losing them is not horrible.

Exactly. Marshall last won cusa in what 2013? Maybe they can win the conference now with these teams gone.

Blame your school and location. All people I've talked to say marshal wasn't invited because you are broke.

I think a combination of the right CUSA and remaining Belt schools can net a contract close to the AAC 2.0

But the Belt seems intent on holding firm. So the remaining CUSA schools could simply look to add Liberty and JMU.

That is definitely not going to be as nice as AAC 2.0, but I don't think it will kill CUSA.

Broke is subjective, we've just invested into many new facilities, a new state of the art IPF, brand new soccer stadium and now putting the groundwork in place on a new baseball stadium.

Just call it what it is, it's the location. Nothing we can do about that.

I sincerely hope the AAC can continue on to great heights with these new members. We have enough bashing and negativity in other threads, so I say welcome and hope you come in and perform great under the AAC banner.

Learn the terminology!

P6 - The six most powerful conferences
G4 - Group of 4. The group of 4 conferences with the lowest profile and lowest revenue.
CDOA - Conference Dead on Arrival (AKA Conference USA).

All in good fun of course, don't take offense. HaHa.

Again, welcome.

October 18, 2021. The Day The P6 Died.

P6 was never a thing outside the AAC. And if you really want to know, I think that notion had died when three of the top 3 teams applied to leave for B12.

P6 is less about outside perception than it is a long term operating philosophy within. It’s main function isn’t marketing, that’s a side benefit really. slhNavy91 has posted on this very very well in the past here, I can’t speak for him, but I’m sure he’ll be glad to give the new members a proper orientation by reposting that information. The fact that fans of other conferences don’t get it is irrelevant. We’re still and will remain P6.

We have no choice.

Add JMU and Liberty, fire Judy, hire Jim Delaney commissioner and sign an exclusive CBS deal is probably our best bet.
