That's crazy. I would have bet money that was somewhere in the south
Good, close ballgames all over the League today. JMU on top of Elon 14-7 in the 2nd.

They're rebranding to Utah Tech to help with that

Smart move.
Richmond beats UNH, Towson up by 14 in the 4th.
Maine beats URI 45-24.

It might not hurt as much as we think if they do in fact finish strong. Them winning today vs a good URI helps quite a bit.
Poor Albany is 0-8

But, at least they'll get the 1st overall pick in the draft.

Lucky for them, they still have 0-8 Morgan State on their schedule, so they *should* get a win, lol.
Interesting to read the published 2015-16 CAA Football Conference Handbook regarding leaving the conference. Unless there has been a change with current bylaws, once a member submits withdrawal, it is up to a vote by the remaining schools regarding what eligibility will be granted until the effective date of withdrawal. As I read it, bottom line is that once JMU gets State GA approval to move up to FBS and submits their conference withdrawal, it's up to the rest of the league as to whether JMU can still be CAA champion with the auto-bid, including this year. They'd still be NCAA FCS playoff eligible regardless, unless next year they bump scholarships above the FCS max.

That will be a moot point this year, anyway, when W&M wins the conference championship.
Wow, talk about offense on steroids. UVA's Brendan Armstrong has run for 2 TD's and passed for 3 TD's while leading UVA to 6 TD's in 6 consecutive possessions at #25 BYU, but they only lead 42-38, at halftime!! 832 total yards between the two teams in only one half. Armstrong deserves Heisman consideration with his first half, 371 total yard performance alone. With Pitt's loss today, UVA has a legit shot at playing in the ACC Championship.

Uva still has Pitt to play, and on the road. Also, still have Notre Dame, at home.
UR’s starting QB is back. They’re a different team with him so that game just got a little harder

Bouncing back to this, JMU meets with the VA General Assembly on Friday in Richmond.

Have we heard other schools talk about said vote? Would obviously be huge.
Sort of a non-starter here. They didn't go out and sign 20+ new players when they announced that they would be moving up (so they are still at 63) and it is, by all accounts, not an acrimonious parting, so there would be NO real reason to try to punish them. If they make the playoffs, as champs or otherwise, they'll go.
