Nebraska just had an 84 yard punt... It had more than an 8 second hang time. 84 yards...

Damn, they playing on the moon....04-cheers
For Indiana, Penix is out of the game. Their #2 QB was unavailable. And now their #3 has just gotten knocked out. Looking grim over there.

And Penn State is still only beating them by 7 more points AT HOME than we did ON THE ROAD. Meanwhile, Auburn getting exposed and Wisconsin is horseshit...Penn State living on those names in the schedule, rather than the quality of the opponent.

If we take care of business during the regular season, then there's the AAC CCG which could be a battle with Houston for the G5 NYD bid (if we don't get into the playoffs.)

Don’t overlook the final game at ECU.

They play iowa next week, and have games against osu, michigan, and msu (all ranked although that seems to mean less and less each week). Point being, they will likely drop a game, if not more. i think the question becomes whether iowa loses a game or are they the best team in the b10. if it's the latter, they will likely get a playoff spot because i doubt they will lose to a b10 west opponent and i don't know if they will lose in the ccg. Not a huge deal as it was expected that an undefeated b10 team would likely get a playoff spot. i think most people just thought it was going to be osu. At that point, we're really rooting for OU to lose, which also seems likely.

Don’t count out those Bucks. Beat PSU, Michigan, Michigan State and win the B1G Championship game and they’re in over UC.
B10 will get it’s reserved spot to go with Georgia and Alabama. Oklahoma probably needs to lose or UC can go 13-0 and finish 5th. 2 of the 4 ahead would have a loss.

i'm not necessarily, that said, it's just one b10 team getting in. if iowa loses in the ccg, they are going to the rose bowl, or whatever alternate bowl. Just from what i've seen so far, though, it seems like iowa is the best b10 team, though.

Ecu is a game I’ve said before could be worrisome. We embarrassed them last years and their coach had words with Fick about that fake punt. We never play well in Greenville, it will be the last game of the regular season, Senior Day, and it may be a game that determines if the Pirates go to a bowl.
Totally agree. Last 4 games in Greenville (aka The Worst Travel Destination on Earth):

- 2019: 46-43 Bearcats
- 2017: 49-20 ECU
- 2015: 19-16 Bearcats
- 2004: 24-19 Bearcats

I hate that place. Hard to get to. Nothing to do.
2017 all over again. We rout ECU when the time comes.

I just worry about the next game, though. Thursday night games at Nippert are great. How are Friday games? I will be trying to watch while doing stats at a high school football game.
It’s a sell out so it’s should be pretty lively.

We are driving 500 miles to attend. Friday game gives us the remainder of the weekend to do the Cincinnati dining circuit.
UCF losing to Navy hurts but SMU is now coach’s top 25.

If your go to the official AAC site the top story is not UC beating Notre Dame. Not surprised!

Speaking of coming in from out of town. I will be in for the UCF game. Does anyone know about the graduate Cincinnati hotel? Good place to stay and in walking distance for the game?

Rightfully so, I might add. If any of those Big Ten East teams run the table in their division they deserve to make the playoff...can't be biased even if I'd want to be.
I've pretty much penciled in 2 SEC teams, and the Big Ten champ for 3 of the 4 spots. Lets face it-- the SEC rules, but the Big Ten is clearly the next best conference with a big drop off to the ACC, Pac 12 and Big 12. I can see the committee taking a 2 loss Big Ten team over UC.

UC needs to win every game left convincingly. They also need the Pac 12 Champ to lose twice and probably the Big 12 champ to do the same, while also making sure there isn't a 2nd 1 loss Big Ten team who can jump them. Texas needs to beat Oklahoma and Penn State needs to beat Iowa this weekend. Iowa has a better shot of running the table than Penn State, and UC needs the Big Ten East to beat each other up so everyone gets to 2 losses. I can see a scenario where an undefeated Iowa loses to a 1 loss Big Ten team in the Championship and both teams make it in.

But once again, I'm getting ahead of myself. 1 game @ a time. Temple was the last team to beat UC @ home in 2017. Temple had won 4 in a row vs UC, until UC won 15-13 in 2019. For whatever reason, Temple causes UC problems. That plus a Notre Dame hangover means UC needs to be focused. I do know that the crowd will be going nuts on Friday night cheering UC after that amazing win vs ND.

1 game at a time. Just handle your business as that's the only thing you can control. I want UC to come out and curb stomp Temple right away. Score a few TD's and then let the D absolutely smother them.

7 of the top 11 this week are B10 schools. One loss or not, whomever comes out of that gauntlet will be in the playoff with Georgia and Bama.

How the mighty have fallen...I still remember when Nebraska was known for hanging 84 points, not an 84 yard punt, on a Big Ten team.

I've given this guy some grief over the years but I'll also give him credit when credit is due...
