Louisville could have some of the best but they glam it up with a bunch of weird stuff all the time. Giant red bird head on red helmet, realistic cardinal on helmet, all black...just wear the white helmet and the red jerseys with the classic black and white stripes!

Carolina should always wear the mid-late 90’s uniforms.

Pitt looks great these days and I think Syracuse looks way better than they did.

Any team wearing an all-grey uniform should be banned.
Completely subjective, dead of summer type topic. Love it.

My rankings (excluding Louisville, which is my team):

1. Pitt ... as long as it is basically the look that Marino played in. The yellow/gold helmets, with the Pitt on the sides.

2. North Carolina ... the baby blue is just sweet.

3. Georgia Tech ... Always easy on the eyes. I don't know that I have seen a bad combo out of GT.

4. Clemson ... paw print logo is excellent.

5. Boston College ... Burgundy is a strong color. Like the simple helmets.

6. Wake Forest ... I like the gold and black. And the WF logo is clean. They avoid making mistakes with the Deacon head of the past.

7. Florida State ... fear the spear.

8. Miami .. The iconic U. Simple. Classic. Original.

9. Notre Dame ... Not a fan of when they shake things up. (Kelly green for example). Classic look screams tradition.

10. Virginia ... solid, simple.

11. NC State ... not a fan of the cartoonish wolf logo (and yeah, I know. My Cardinal has teeth. Which seems to mess with a lot of people. Especially West Virginia Mountaineers. But I think they're just jealous. Our logo has more teeth than theirs.) They have the potential to be the baddest in the league. Wolf Pack lends itself to lots of possibilities.

12. Virginia Tech ... I'm just not a fan of the color scheme. The teams are usually good though. So what do I know?

13. Syracuse ... I like the McNabb era look. But orange and blue don't do it for me.

14. Duke ... blue and white University of Kentucky effect. Boredom factor 9 out of 10.

So ... there is my list. And I reserve the right to change this at any time, for any arbitrary reason. Except the West Virginia comments buried in the NC State write up. Those are pretty much set in stone. 04-cheers

I have not liked what the smaller pads and tighter jerseys have done to uniform designs.

It's taken away a lot of area for design on the sleeve and shouder area. Bring bask the big shoulder pads with loose sleeves.

That said...

Kudos to Pitt for going back to the bluer blue and the mustard yellow.

UNC needs to stay away from dark blue. That's so unnecessary.

VT has a great set of colors that nobody else has.

GT... zzzz

Syracuse gets points for sticking to their traditional look. Nothing wrong with that.

FSU... follow Syracuse's lead.

Virginia needs to find a niche. Seems like they'e always looking for one.

BC... see GT.

Wake... see UVA

Duke... well, what can you do with that?

Miami is the opposite of VT.

NC St... see Duke.

Louisville... does nothing but copy ours.

Uniforms:

Isn't it odd that the home team wears school colored jerseys in football but white in almost every other sport?
People disagree, but I've felt the VT should really lean into the their color scheme. Like maroon helmet/jersey and orange pants. Leave the white as trim.

As GT can't ever decide what their secondary color is, I think the Jackets should fully commit with white helmets/pants with gold jerseys at home and the storm trooper look on the road.

For the Canes, they are one of the schools that should try to wear mostly white jerseys whether at home or on the road.

VT needs to keep maroon as the primary color all the time, IMO.

GT has had some sweet-looking gold and navy unis in the past.

For day games, Miami should 100% wear all white to keep cool, but the opposite for night games (dark green ideally, to blend in with the turf).

Totally agree here. Stripes on the sleeves look like flags.

It should just be an accent color. That said, I much prefer the bright blue on the early to mid-90’s basketball uniforms.

Go back to the V-necks with the triangles on the pants.

UC used to do a red and white version of those. Loved those.
I like basketball getting away with the super baggy shorts

Oh they’ll be back. It just takes one great team to wear them in the name of anti-establishment. It’s all a circle.

Just look at how crazy it got:

OTOH, let's not bring back the mini-shorts either!

...and I'm sure some teams' shorts were even smaller, I just don't care to see it!

They color schemes are set in stone now. And since they redid it you can't buy gold Adidas polos anywhere. Even in the GT bookstore. They get put in stock they're immediately gone. Been that way for 2 years now.

Secondary is white.

Accents are royal navy and black.
