Yes, Randy Savage's real name was Randy Poffo. Their dad was the late professional wrestler and promoter Angelo Poffo.
I remember seeing Lanny and Randy before they made it to the WWF in the 80s, their father had an independent or what they referred to as an "Outlaw" territory (outlaw meaning they were not affiliated with the National Wrestling Alliance and existing in direct opposition to that promotion). They had an angle where they "invaded" the Memphis territory-- called the promoter and Jerry Lawler chicken, destroyed the set, etc. This was done long before similar angles in WCW and WWE in the "Attitude Era".

Long time Tennessee professional wrestler booker/promoter Jerry Jarrett passed away today at 80 years of age. Jarrett co-owned the CWA/USWA (widely known as the Memphis territory) with Jerry Jarrett. He also co-founded TNA.

Afternoon Deelites opened his racing career in spectacular fashion, winning his first five races between 1994 and 1995, four of them stakes races.
He broke his maiden as a 2-year old in 1994, winning a maiden special weight race at Santa Anita on Oct. 23. Next out, he won the GIII Hollywood Prevue Breeders' Cup S. to earn his first graded stakes win, and followed that up with a win in the GI Hollywood Futurity, defeating future Kentucky Derby winner Thunder Gulch.
