During the radio broadcast, it was mentioned that Scott suffered a concussion a couple of weeks ago.
Head injuries can have a very adverse on a player's performance. Juan Fernandez had a serious concussion in his sophomore year, and it had an adverse effect on his performances that, unfortunately, persisted even after he was well enough to play again. Trey Lowe's head injury had more debilitating effects.
Even the temporary effects of a concussion could help explain why Scott had few productive stats despite playing 25 minutes in game 1. I'm definitely hoping that it wasn't a severe concussion, but if it was, it might be possible that his play will be affected for some time.
I'm wondering if you've heard anything about this, and what your thoughts are about Scott's disappointing play in the Drexel game.
The HC commented after the game that his play might have had something to do with adjusting to playing his first official game with this squad. I hope it's nothing more than that, but he did play much better with the squad in pre-season games.
