----Rockets clear front-runner. May get upset, but unlikely to lose 2
----Chippewas win tells us more about them then the Eagles; Chippewas are real deal, but Eagles still tough. Broncos hold tie-breaker over Chippewas, tho....for now.
----Golden Flashes thru Bulls hard to sort. Need more games to separate them. Bulls need a MAC win, something the others have. Cardinals with nice win over a struggling Huskies.
----Falcons and Zips still bad
I think Kent State is ranked too high, but except for Toledo and WMU no one in the conference is all that hot. Buffalo getting beat by Miami and CMU taking EMU to the woodshed were two games where you thought the opposite would happen.
EMU proved they are still...EMU
Western is good
Ball St vs Toledo in 2 weeks will be a big one
I’m going to stop picking Buffalo because they never come through
Ohio will win the East and probably get clobbered in the MACC
Ohio is not impressive. They looked like a much better team last season. The East overall looks very mediocre
NIU is in complete disarray. We are undisciplined and commit a ton of penalties. I think we've had a player ejected in all 5 games.

We had two turnovers and 110 yards of penalties in the 3rd quarter and just completely fell apart.
As wide open as the MAC’s ever been. This is the year a OHIO or EMU needs to capitalize on and break through with a championship. Probably not going to find an easier year.

We're still tied at the top of the Eastern Division standings, 1-0 in the conference ... indeed, equal overall record with the Bricks, at 2-3.

The budget games are over, time to climb to 500 next week.

Central just beat Eastern, by a lot. I'd put Eastern lower than CMU.
And I'd like to dispute our ranking.

But I can't.

I can't really disagree with it. If we stop shooting ourselves in the foot repeatedly every game we might be able to score more than 20 points a game and then we could beat some teams. Until then...
KSU #4 SOS.

There is no team in the MAC that would have a better record than 1-3 KSU has if they played KSU's schedule.

Seriously, his Western bias is on full display. Not that these rankings matter all that much, but who the hell puts a team behind the team they just waxed by 26?

Absolutely. Same applies to Miami to a lesser degree, I think maybe Toledo or another team or two would be capable of beating UC, but no chance against Iowa and OSU. Pity that you guys have to do the football version of the Charlie Coles death marches every year.

Phil Steele said before the season that the MAC East would come down to who won the Miami-Ohio game on November 6th, heavily contingent on what Miami's QB situation looked like. Still early on but it might be shaping up like that, though Gabbert thus far has been much better than I think most Miami fans were hoping given how we had no snaps among our quarterbacks coming into this season.
Definitely think Miami can climb a lot, schedule has been brutal!
Also people are putting EMU over CMU because EMU has the better overall record.

BTW, Bowl Projections:

CBS SPORTS:
Ohio, Toledo, Buffalo, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan all making it

ESPN
Ohio, Toledo, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan all making it

Could easily see Miami and/or Ball St knocking out a couple of these teams.
