I assumed they would have wifi at the stadium, hopefully by ECU

The stairs leaving were definitely congested on the west side. I dont think people realized you can leave from the tower stairwell. Also, on the west side at least, I saw men waiting out the door for the bathroom but across the concourse there was another men's bathroom and I walked right up to a urinal. It may just be a matter of people figuring out where everything is. Also didn't notice the self service kiosk until I was mostly through the line.

I can't believe they were done enough for the game. Great job construction team. Crazy what has been accomplished. This stadium has so much more to offer fans. It's going to be great, when we get some things figured out.
Concessions were a major issue at half time. I got in line a couple minutes into halftime and the line hardly moved. I finally gave up when they kicked off. Every line was a mile long. Elevators were very backed up as well. Whomever ODU consulted in the building the stadium obviously blew it.

As for the light fixtures, they were definite leaking on the West side of the stadium.

ODU missed a major opportunity by not building some concessions / bathrooms on the upper concourse. With the limited availability of the elevators, it's going to make things very inaccessible for those in wheelchairs.
What are these self serve places you guys are speaking of, and where are they located? That kind of info would be really good to know.

The concessions at the main entrance on the west side. They had the ropes the separated the main line to the cashiers. All the way on the end, closest to bluestone, were the self service kiosk. 2 computer screens where you picked your food and there was a card reader so you could pay. Assuming they brought the food to you there.

I know its "for the environment" but I really hate the paper straws, but it seems like most places are going this route now.

You can bring your own stainless steel straw in your clear tote bag. 02-13-banana02-13-banana

It was either NC State or ECU that had very temporary ice chests set up to sell water and soda. This would help immediately on section 100 and 200.
We need a new camera crew and announcers

Cough Cough NSU Spartans Announcer ( hire him/her).

He/she knows exactly when to start the next sentence/speech after the echo/pitch, and when to change tempo to match the given timing. (So it does not mix-match for the audience).

PS. Ohhh... wait.... What? Our ODU announcer still hasn't figured this out after all these years? including basketball?

.
I'd like to see them give Doug Ripley a shot as the in stadium announcer. He did well when filling in for men's basketball.

Now seriously reconsidering ever bringing my 7mo old to a game as long as we are in these seats. Since it's a safety hazard I plan on sending this to odu as well, not sure who though.

I would send an email to your ODAF rep, Selig, and whoever the facilities manager is for the Steve. This is the kind of feedback they need to correct the problems. Putting a gutter system there as another poster suggested would be a simple fix. We were in 111. I enjoyed the leg room compared to Foreman field. I was not impressed with the available wifi and the merchandise store on the west side left a lot to be desired. The concessions stand need better signage. I had no idea there was a self-serve counter you could walk up to until I had spent almost all of half-time in the line. There were speakers at the concession stand that I assume were supposed to pipe in the sound from the action on the field, but you couldn't hear anything that was coming from them. We didn't really hear the DJ and the play by play from Ankerson was muffled as usual.

Also in W111; had similar experiences. Sound systems would cut out and echo occasionally. The seat backs and additional legroom are definitely upgrades over foreman. In addition to the self-service signage; also would be nice if in the future they had a couple of flatscreens in the concession area. Spent most of the 2nd quarter in line listening to the crowd erupt with no idea what was happening. But overall was great experience.
Definitely need flat screens in the concession area. Hope they fix the sound issues, especially at the top and the crowd flow issues as well. Overall the place has a lot of potential and with a few tweaks (and yes, they might cost a few bucks) it can be as good as they described. The video boards and backrests are legit.

Your band, dancers, and cheerleaders put on a clinic. It’s most impressive, but not much fun for us in a close game. All I could hear in the fourth quarter was your band playing impeccably - and when I looked over I could see your dancers performing perfectly...and your cheerleaders on the other side of the field were also in perfect harmony. We will never be able to compete.

The leaks in the west side concourse were coming from overhead pvc drain pipes. Not sure what they are for if there are no bathrooms on the second deck. Storm drains? Nonetheless that needs to be addressed before the next game. It was dripping on people in the concession line. Who knows what kind of quality control measures were brushed over to get this done in time.
