Wow, from reports here it seems like Zo has done everything and more to grab a roster spot in NY. What a kick in the nuts.

hopefully, zo gets picked up. looked like he made the squad. might be back on the practice squad there or elsewhere. since he was briefly on the active roster, i believe zo has to go through waivers and can be claimed at the base salary of someone with his experience to a 53 man roster. if no one claims him, he can be signed to a practice squad. mathis in pitt is probably a practice body signing. mathis is a mature player and played smart at ut. he's got hometown and team connections and gives them a reliable practice db for their backup receivers to go up against in practice. he was a late camp invitee (injuries) and not expected to make the roster so he must have made a good impression on the coaches and staff. not big money, but a decent weekly check and a chance to continue being a steeler. who knows, if more steeler dbs get hurt he could be on the field. thompson and woodside sticking on those teams makes sense. i gotta imagine thompson gradually works his way into a #2 or #3 receiver on an nfl team for a while. he's really solid and can do a lot on special teams too. woodside has nfl passing brains. he gets the routes and progressions and anticipates throws. his size and skills are average at that level which will make him generally a backup, but he understands how to pass the ball at that level. tennessee will keep him around to be both a practice guy and a backup in case mariotta goes down again.

Unfortunately for Russell, he doesn't seem to be eligible for practice squads anymore (according to NYG sports writers). You are limited to 3 "seasons" (6+ games) on practice sqads. Was on Cinci's in 2016 and Arizona's for part of 2017 and NYG's last year.
Washington reportedly signing Treyvon Hester.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.... THE NFL IS A JOKE. It's not because they cut our former beloved Rockets, it's more than that.
Reportedly Indy has released Rolan Milligan so they can sign Brian Hoyer.

I can’t understand why they should care how many times you’ve been on a practice squad
Steelers' process works again for the 'nobodies from nowhere'
(nice article on Skipper, if you ignore the couple of snide comments on the MAC.)

I guess the maneuvers aren't over, as Rolan Milligan is back on Indy's practice squad.
Hollman is inactive for the season opener tonight, as he's still not fully back from his injury.
Woodside stays with Titans on practice squad

somebody gonna pick up Tuzar, he looked special in preseason
See my September 2, 2019 posting. Packers-Bears 13 points. Everybody knows what The Browns are capable of...... except The Browns. Antonio Brown nonsense. So on and so on and so on. THE NFL IS A JOKE!!!
Despite the record number of Rockets in the NFL, not much to report so far this week.

For Tennessee, Kern has his usual stellar punting performance, and Tony Romo was gushing all over him during the game. Flu played his typical special teams roles, and had a few snaps at fullback.
