May be a coming of age moment for Shon, as well.

Sure was from what I saw. Confident QB with sole focus in those last two series. Now need to translate that to the start at Towson. I hope we give him the green light to use his legs more and give defenses something else to think about.

Noticed Bill Murray carrying a boxing/wrestling championship belt on the sideline in the first half after a good play. Is this our version of the Tech lunch pail or Miami turnover chain? Any knowledge.

Can confirm. A lot of colleges around the country are doing things like this.
Just got home. Mitchell was nails on the last two drives. The TD pass to Dedmon was beautiful. He did a great job selling the John Elway Memorial Goal Line QB Draw. O-line might get him killed.

At some point this staff trying field goals is akin to the parable of the scorpion and the frog.
Congrats to the guys on the comeback. Good stuff! I’m happy for them.
Resigned to an awful loss until those final seven minutes when the W&M Laycock teams of the past revived in as thrilling a comeback as I've seen in a long time. Shon Mitchell, the real Shon Mitchell, may have discovered himself in those seven minutes.

And, after the heartbreak of Dedmon's called-back TD punt return on a chintzy, pitiful call by the official,
to find the heart to shrug it off and produce that lovely final TD drive was sweet indeed.

A season revived!
The Tribe Tavern is straight up larceny. $20 for the privilege of buying a $6 beer? Yeah, no thanks.

The call was legit, and the block was dumb to make since Dedmon was beyond that blocker. If a guy's back is turned to you and you block him you can't complain.
Weird how there’d already be more posts on this thread if we lost.

All in all, Shon played a GREAT game. He was a lot smarter with his throws.

Devonte Dedmon played at an elite level today. Even with the PR getting called back.

DJ Mangas opened up the playbook (finally). I loved the 2 pt conversion play call.

This was a great win. Should get you excited to be a Tribe fan.

Thought he did a really good job today. The offensive line's going to get him killed. Only playing 10 games may be a blessing.

I would say so! It's hard to do much better than a drive where he completes a number of big passes, runs for a TD, and catches a 2-point conversion. He looked like the amazing quarterback that I heard about when he committed here.
Winning begets winning, but the memory of how you win is just as important. Both team, staff, and fans will believe they can mount a late 4th quarter comeback to win again. Keep that feeling fresh and add to it one week at a time.

Nice to finally get a CAA win! Look, we are not a very good team...but it would have been VERY easy to pack it in when we fell behind 22-10 halfway through the 4th quarter. That they didn’t quit gives me some hope for the rest of this season. Looking forward to seeing the Tribe in person at Homecoming in two weeks!

I agree. A very quiet thread for an exciting win.If we had lost we would see a lot of names posting on this thread that are currently silent watching their preseason basketball scrimmages.

Great win by the guys. Definitely a lot to work on and we could have sealed the game up much earlier, but i’m even more impressed by the comeback than putting them away early. Let’s enjoy this one.
I think the last similar win was over Delaware at Zable maybe 2 years ago? Lots of good fans today and you could tell it meant a lot. Loved the urgency in the last 10 minutes. Glad I made the trip and glad the Tribe got a win today. Parker played very well today, Devonte was Devonte, and Shon made a lot of good plays. Happy for Coach, for BillyMac, and the team. The 11 prior quarters were very frustrating, especially offensively. But, the last 9 minutes were fun, exciting and filled with good plays. A nice win.
A great comeback reminiscent of teams of old. Agree on Mitchell's and Dedmon's performances. The team showed a lot of heart. A win at Towson next week would be huge.

Looking forward to finally making it to the 'burg for homecoming.

Or maybe a lot more people not posting because it's a home game and they don't post on their phone?

Eh not exactly what we were getting at. Sorry if something I said struck a nerve.
