Thanks!
What an impressive road win. I think the game ball has to go to Coach Fick. I had a hard time remembering the last time I was this happy/optimistic about the team.

The big thing is - we won.

We know better if the current status of UCLA (though they surely have talent on that roster), but nationally all that matters is that Cincinnati beat a traditional CFB power and Chip Kelly.

Perception is all that matters. This should give recruiting a boost.
The Forekins lost to Marshall 35-28
I know it's the first game and we have no clue how good UCLA is, but the best thing for me was seeing a defense create pressure and get after it. I have missed those days for quite a while now. They were awesome! They gave up one big run, but shut the freaking door the rest of the game.

The tackling improved throughout the game

I think I heard on the broadcast that UC was a two touchdown dog. Impressive win no matter how you spin it. UC's schedule is very favorable early on. Miami, Alabama A&M, OU, UConn are all winnable games.

Lay off the Ripple. Who the hell are the forekins?
Anybody know where I can watch Fick’s postgame on the field with ESPN? I missed it

We were the easiest game on UCLA's schedule. There is a very real chance that they only win one or two games this season. They have talent though...They are like us, and very young in a complete transition stage. Even if UCLA ends up winless this season it is still a good win.

That UCLA team had speed, and talent...it just may come together this season. That RB who had the 74 yard TD run had more speed than anyone on our team.

Check Youtube tomorrow or it may show up on twitter soon. He had a smile on his face like he won the lottery. Great to see...he said they were going to ride the offensive line and Warren after challenging them to be tough during the preseason. Boys became grown men tonight.

I have to say though, Dembrock didn't do Moore a lot of favors. UC's first 3 possessions, they were passing almost every down, allowing UCLA to tee off on him.

You may be right Beej but I have no confidence in Moore to this point (after 4 years no less). He just looks tentative and scared. When he went down with the blitz he had jello arms around the ball. I say ride Ridder - Moore's gone after this year. Prep him as a serviceable backup only.
After all the adrenaline wears off - I hope to hear that Warren is fully healthy and is good to go the rest of the season.

What's the status with Doaks? We need our RBs to be healthy given our QB passing play is not that strong.

Awesome win, though - haven't felt this good about a Bearcat Football win since...we were in the Big East?[/u]

Agree but what if Ridder is prepared as the starter for a full week to get timing and scheme down with receivers? As someone noted, UCLA had decent DB's.
Anyone catch the bear hug AD Bohn gave CLF at the end of the game? I thought Bohn was going to dry hump him...

I felt going into tonight that UCLA was a four win team. I can’t see them getting that number. This UC teams looks like 2006 all over again. i would that right now if anything close to 2007 through 2009 followed. Beat Miami!!!
