I'd like to say NFW, but in a state that twice elected vacuous Jennifer Granholm anything can happen. Doesn't help that the GOP leaders are Calley and Schuette-a couple of RINO's.

Whatever you think of Granholm's tenure or

Whitmer because of her sex (female, like Granholm) -

Whitmer does have experience that makes her qualified.

Unless you are just going to dismiss her because of her sex or party.

Which may speak more to you than her.
She is a sickle and hammer style socialist liberal. If that is your style, she's your candidate. The candidates on both sides are pretty lousy.
Well heck fire then Judge your honor -

Why don't you run?

Seem to have all the answers!

How can you say that about Whitmer when there's an actual, honest-to-god socialist on the ticket that is making noise with young people? He was just endorsed by Bernie and is gaining support from other popular leftists.

My generation's embrace of far left ideology scares me.

At least Whitmer has government experience, compared to those clowns Thaneder and El-Sayed.
Whitmer has said she would like to govern as William Milliken did.

If she could-would be allowed to by state house and senate - that would be a good thing.

Unfortunately, it'd be more like Jenni Granholm did. She'd likely have a GOP legislature and nothing would get done-we'd have gridlock. We don't need another term of the Granholm administration.

Too bad we don't have a Scott Walker in the pack, but it is what it is.
I suggest we all write-in brovol in the General Election (November).

Yeah, like the eight years under the GoverNerd has been such a resounding success.

Even with his party in control of state legislature.
The Tweeter-in-Chief is backing Schuette.

That ought to do it.

William Milken was a very noteworthy governor for the State of Michigan if we could get someone capable of governing as he did Michigan would WIN!!!!!

Snider's shortcomings are usually when he tries to appeal to the Democrats. He's been criticized for not being conservative enough.

Still, on his worst day he's 10 times the Governor Granholm was-she was an absolute ZERO. If the GOP is smart they'll run against her for the next 30 years.

That is a job you can only get if you have tons of money, are extremely political, or both. I have neither.

I was appointed by Granholm, so I know a little about working the politics. It ain't fun, I can say that. Fortunately I have been unopposed in my several reelections. Every time I get real nervous, and attend church more regularly, because I tend to think one or two people are going to run against me. Politics suck, and I can't imagine being in a position where you are always working on being reelected. Judicial terms, fortunately, are six years. Those folks who run for state congress have two year terms. They are at chicken dinners five nights a week.

Snider is a republican/Democrat hybrid. He had to pick a party when he decided to run and he was more aligned with the Republicans so he went that way. Overall, I think he accomplished quite a bit, particularly in the first half of his tenure. I would vote for him again if he was an option.

I'm getting very good at doing nothing in retirement. Being LG sounds like too much work.
It looks like she is talking about me in the photo Hiller posted. She's exaggerating the size a little.....but not far off.
