I'm sure the usual suspects will blame Ehsan. But that screw up is on the players on the floor. Norton should have been there to bring the ball up
Norton took too long to get a shot off
Handed that game to em'. We were up by 2 with just over 2 minutes left and got a defensive rebound, ball in hand. Pushing the fast break after that rebound was a huge mistake and a turnover. That was the turning point of the game.
I can live with this loss. Several others, not so much.
We're now 6-14 against top 150 realtimerpi teams since Ehsan took over. We're 0-9 against top 100.

Our best wins in nearly 2 years:

#102 George Washington, #104 Memphis, #112 Marshall, #117 La. Tech, #146 La. Tech, #147 Troy

Sad to look at

Freshman mistake. In fairness, he hasn't made many.

No choice!

Take ball in, let it roll up the floor, pick it up at 44 seconds, call timeout, the run your best OOB play & take no more than 5 seconds.

ODU then has their full 30 , get a stop and you still either force a bad shot with an expiring shot clock, and you get the ball back with 10 seconds to get a good look.

The math & strategy is simple. And we just don't do it.
Can't close out games...

I was quoting Murry.

On a positive note, we were in a position to win near the end, and maintained that position during the course of the game.
That four minute drought without a basket did us in. Oh well beat UNT.
From the time Cokley came back in the game after his third foul, he was a No Show. I don't know if it was a great job by ODU of denying him, but I didn't even see him trying to get the ball.

That third foul and the elbow against Lee was the turning point. Although the bench initially pushed the lead out, it was tied at 47 when the starters came back in. And we seemed lost after that.
18 t/o. You will lose 90%+ of games with that many.

I seriously doubt this.
North Texas now temporarily all alone in 4th place. 03-nutkick
And just like that we are in 7th place.

Very
These close games on the road have become predictable.
Key was that 10 point run by ODU - a team the struggles to score. Probably should have called timeout after their 2nd basket to slow their momentum...
