Is it set in stone that the Sun Belt does not release our schedules until March 1 or is there a possibility that we might see something sooner this year ?

Thanks to the conference switching to divisions, we got to know who everyone plays and where everyone is playing early this year. Now we just need to know the "when" but we won't find out until March 1.

Boise will be a monster this year, and we replace a ton of experience and leadership. Not seeing that Game 1 come together. Nebraska will be off to a fast start with Scott Frost. Likely looking at 0-2, but with Neal Brown, we could all get a big surprise. Biggest worry is losing Vic Koenning to OKSTATE. Will know something soon.

Even if Koenning stays, Troy lost their QB, RB's, couple great receivers, leadership on the O Line, Defensive Front w/leadership, Great LB and several good DB's. They will be a eight win team in 2018 but will stay bowl eligible. This year and next year will be a rebuilding year for them. They did go out and get some JUCO players, but it is heard to come in right off the bat and be that leader that they need. The last of the Larry Blakeney players are gone and they took the leadership with them.

According to OOC schedules:
- Sept. 1 - Everyone has an OOC game.

- Sept. 8 - UL has the only open date in the conference (unless something gets moved) which means that is likely your BYE week.

- Sept. 15 - The only two teams with open dates are USA and TxSt, so unless you both have BYEs that week then I would assume that's the first conference matchup of the season (week 3).

- Sept. 22 - One of GS, CC, Troy, ULM will have a BYE.

This is all I know...

This is my best guess for how Georgia Southern's schedule will look. This is also probably the best schedule we could have.

I like that you are giving yourselves only 4 days off before you play us. That is really appreciated.

Since we're down to 1 Bye week now with the CCG added 1st Saturday in December, any teams that play on Wednesday Nights will essentially not have a "bye week" They'll have the Saturday before and the Saturday after off, but with the game inbetween, they will not get a traditional 2 weeks that a normal bye week would provide.
