Agree.
NIU could have put this game away w/o mistakes and a reliable kicker.
Childers, like Graham, forces you into 12-15 play drives to score a td. That's very unrealistic. This just doesn't work. Childers does run well, but not that well where can can make huge gains and create quick scoring drives

Every year a clunker like this shows up. I am so happy to get the win. That was just ugly.

Give Buffalo credit. They are a great team that has really improved.
Childers needs to pass a lot better if we want to beat WMU and Toledo.

Probably get our azz handed to us if Anderson plays the second half. We have to get better in the red zone.
Freshman QB who hadn't played today made our QB development look bad.
I just don't see us winning big games with Childers. I think he's a great change up QB when we need the QB to run. Unfortunately, he just can't hit down field receivers. It should be Santa going forward.

That was one ugly game. That's the offense Carey wants; I don't think there was a completed pass that went more than 15 yards in the air. This approach will work against the MAC and with our D. He sent a major message to Santa today; you are no longer in the QB picture.

Too many pass plays over 20 yards. Terrible.
Thank goodness their kicker shanked one also. We give up the lead I am not confident we would have been able to pull it off. That miss from Buffalo was just huge
Childers did not anywhere near as good as he stats; 20/31, 274 yards and 1 TD. He sure has no touch on the deep passes.
