you'll certainly remember a tight end we got from Stanford under the same circumstances - last name of Willson.
I really like this approach - go to the Stanford/Northwestern/Duke/Wake Forest/Vandy/Ga Tech pfd walk on lists and cherry pick. Hell, they've been picking off our commitment lists for many years. Time to return the favor.
Certainly made easier given that Bloomgren already has a personal relationship with these Stanford-seeking guys.
Graysen Schantz granted another year of eligibility.

Indeed. Anyone who would choose UTSA over Rice doesn't belong here.
Riley Smith just tweeted that he has officially committed to Boise State.

Not surprising.
Thinking that it might be Dormady or bust with regard to a QB for this class. Which is fine.
We just likely need to land two in 2019.
Also, a PWO project like the guy from Jesuit if he doesn't end up going UIW would be good for this class too.

Been arguing this for years. I'd watch (and contact) everyone on their recruiting lists.
Stanford is unique (now, but hasn't always been) in that you can be top 20 AND get a top 20 education. For the others, they're generally having to choose to play, but lose often at the top level in order to get the academics. No, you're not going to get a lot of those guys.... but if we got 10% of our classes from those lists, I'm betting we'd be at or near the top in CUSA recruiting every year

Not to mention at or near theta of the standings at the end of each year.
It's kind of a slam dunk. Glad we have somebody who understands that. David Bailiff is a wonderful human being. But I hate to think how far back 2009-11 set us.

Agree. Very glad that we're moving toward more nationwide recruiting. We're a school that needs to cast a much broader net, and it may not necessarily have to involve a huge recruiting budget.
How can you remotely compare Belichick to Todd Graham?
That's a stretch.
I was talking about personalities.

KO and punt specialist. No FG or XP, it seems.
He kicks them for his HS in his recruiting videos.
Looks fantastic and great add.

I love the fact that the first thing in his video are his GPA, SAT, ACT, etc.
Also love the hang time and depth on kickoffs and punts. From the limited XP tries shown, he would seem to have the ability for longer distance FGs. Maybe his school just didn't need to make many long FG attempts.
Welcome Nick! Nick the Kick?
