If we lose on Thursday you should just shut the board down for a few days put up one of those 404 error notices or something and pretend it was a technical issue.

I want our basketball program to be successful in the tournament and finally get back to the NCAAT. I WANT SUCCESS FOR OUR GUYS. There is no question there. So far, we've not seen that happen under JJ.

My only question is, and I'm sure some wont even respond, If Jeff gets bounced in the first round of our CUSAT will everyone still be patting him on the ass?

I'll answer for everyone...NO. Everyone will be pissed if we get bounced in the first round.

I dont judge based on 1 game samples. It will be disappointing and would warm his seat for bext year, but doesnt over shadow the other 30 games this year. Just like if the reverse happened and a miracle postseason run doesnt over shadow what happened in the regular season.

And with the schedule that we played this year, winning the tournament had to be the ultimate goal.

Nice, and as usual, misinterpretation of the comments here. Whether you like it or not - and you don't -- finishing second is a nice accomplishment for a team picked pre-season for fourth. And that's without McClinton and Kah, two guys I, at least, was counting on. No one's said anything about hanging a banner (another gross misinterpretation of the sentiment here by a poster who says he wants to have dialogue here then puts up that intelligence-insulting crap). If they lose first round, or whatever, I'll be pissed, depending on the nuances of the game. Do we have Caver healthy? Any other issues? No, then WTF? But even then I think he's turned a corner recruiting and with playing style. The schedule needs work OOC and Ken Brown and JJ need to do a much better job.

Not immediately, but if he wins 20 games by the end of next season they will. Its the same cycle every year.

I have said that if we don't get NCAAT this season, I will probably be off the JJ wagon. I think the only thing that could have changed my mind is a #1 finish, which we didn't get. So I have to stick to my guns. It's been too long. I just want to participate on Selection Sunday. I know nobody really cares about my opinion, but there it is.

Not 20, MB.But if he wins 24 or 25 or more again, he'll be in line for some kudos. And I say that not having a clue about next year's schedule.

Personally, I don't measure the success of the team by the number of wins (determined by strength of schedule), but by the number of trips to the NCAA tournament plus success at the level.
