Most of those attending (not the team or the official party) will probably leave for Nassau in 72 hours.

Thursday looks like a fun day with a pep rally. Friday there will be a fun fest before the game. Interested to see how many fmr players, etc. make the trip.

The weather looks beautiful.

As E'Tough has indicated the team is healthy except for Vann.
Looking forward to this game.
I expect it to be very, very close.
May the best team (ODU) win!
04-cheers

I saw some of the bowl games this past weekend and was impressed with the number of good teams playing in these "lesser" bowls. If that's any indication, EMU will have a tough task.

Did any of you catch Toledo's loss? What a bizarre ending.

As often happened this year, Toledo's O was pretty good, but not their D. It was a close game throughout with UT trailing by one score most of the game.

On their last possession UT ran the ball with Hunt right down the field to about the 20+. Then Hunt comes out of the game and they run three more times, but come up short. Now it's fourth and about two from maybe the sixteen. They're behind by three and the clock is down to about 1:30. They got confused and got a delay of game penalty. Now it's about fourth and seven. The K comes in and narrowly misses the FG right. I'm quite certain that a kick in the same direction from five yards closer would have been good. But he missed it, and that was it.
Toledo seemed to make a deliberate choice to take the delay of game. Truly bizarre.
Meanwhile, CMU not looking impressive against Tulsa. Down 27-3 at half. Not a great 1st half from Rush: 10-22, 2 INTs.
Central getting rear ends kicked in we need to win to salvage Mac proud
wow 55-3. Does that mean they don't get their cut of bowl money????

Friday is a huge opportunity for Eastern. If they win they should have momentum over CMU going into recruiting.
A 2003 interview with CC, some things never change thank goodness:

Green helmets, white jersey, green shoes. What color pants?
We've known for a while that we'd be in a bowl game. But, for me at least, it's really starting to sink in now. We're two days away from EMU playing in a bowl game. A football bowl game. It was totally unthinkable even 4 months ago. We all knew what the competitive state the program was in going into this season, and Creighton and Co. took us to our greatest heights in my lifetime after a 1-11 season.

Huron Dave was saying he wasn't sure if he'd ever see EMU in a bowl game again. I'm happy for him and all the other long-time fans on this site to see this.

It's really incredible. I'm proud beyond words. I'm sure you all are too.
Let Chris Creighton know how proud you are of EMU football:. ccreigh1@emich.edu
Had an interesting trip down.

Wolf Blitzer was going to Miami but not on to the Bahamas.

Saw an ESPN cameraman at the NAS airport. Think there will be 6 cameras tomorrow.

I have NO idea how they will get folks from the island to the stadium tomorrow!!! No one rented cars. They don't normally have to shuttle visitors to the stadium.

Think it will be challenging.
